That’s my view too.
We have Field Ball for defensive midfield and Amos to come back. Also I think we are interested in Dozzell, but obviously hope that we can get Johansen in as a priority.

I think we first of all need reinforcements on the right side - a wing back to challenge Kakay. In light of that it is strange to see we are linked to a lot of left side players and not a single right sided one.

Pre Christmas, before we had signed Austin, Johansen, Field and Device and before newborn Dykes, Wallace and Willock turned up I thought Carroll was one of our better players. Back in December I would be gutted to see him leave. We are in a very different position now and Carroll would only be a squad player, so I cant be botherd if he leaves. We have enough midfielders if we sign Johansen. I wish him success elsewhere.

With the way Warbs has got the team playing, Carroll fitted in and would continue to fit in perfectly.
But I agree, he won't be starter, and I'm sure will get a club elsewhere if he goes
