Watched some of his "highlights" the other day, which surprised me as I didn't think a left back would have many, but he's got a good cross on him. None of them seemed to be of his defensive capabilities though.

QPR have already made strides to address their right-back issue with a move for French defender Nolan Galves, according to Sacha Talovieri, but face competition from division rivals Millwall. Galves has featured regularly in the French second tier for Rodez across the past two seasons, and the 22-year-old's performances have attracted interest from the English capital.

Is our FFP situation that bleak again that we need £10 million in sales?Originally posted by SheepRanger View PostFor an out of favour player cashing out £1.5m on the hip, plus bonuses, is a great outcome.
Just another £8.5m in sales to find this summer to keep the financial cops away!! I still think West Ham will come in for Burrell and Varanne will go too. We'll easily make up the cash call.....

FFP/PSR will never go away for clubs like ours. You can see the losses below, which get reduced for infrasture academy spending etc. But as far as I know youre only allowed to lose £35m over a 3yr cycle. We've lost £55m over the last three seasons, and we might be okay after deducting the money spent on the new training ground and academies. But the FA financial regulations aside, the club want a sustainable club!! If there's decent money being offered to any of our players they'll be gone.Originally posted by Sleeping Giants View Post

My fag packet assessment suggests we need to bring in £30m every three years to meet the club's financial policy and keep FFP/PSR away. But to truly break even its £55m every three seasons, which is £18m per season in player sales!!
2024/25 Season: Reported an operating loss of roughly £20.1 million (with revenues at £28 million).
2023/24 Season: Reported an annual operating loss of £21.4 million.
2022/23 Season: Reported an operating loss of approximately £13.5 million.

SAM Field has completed a permanent transfer to Norwich City for an undisclosed fee, having spent the second half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Carrow Road.
The 28-year-old midfielder departs W12 after five-and-a-half years with the club, making 198 appearances and scoring 12 goals in the blue and white hoops.
Field initially joined us on loan from West Bromwich Albion in January 2021, a move that was made permanent later that year.
A wholehearted and committed player throughout his time in W12, Field established himself as a key figure in the Rangers side and was recognised for his contributions by winning both the Supporters’ Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards in 2022/23.
Field’s consistency and professionalism made him a hugely-respected member of the dressing room and a popular figure among fans.
CEO Christian Nourry said: "Sam leaves QPR with the respect of his peers, staff and fans alike, having completed an aggregate total of five seasons wearing the blue and white hoops.

I feel Sammy's performance levels had dipped over past season or two and it was time for him to move on. I don't think playing him as an emergency LB did him any favours so it is essential that the club pulls its finger out ad gets us some decent fullbacks in. We need TWO competent specialist FBs available for selection on each side and need to break this continual cycle of going into seasons short of specialists and thinking it's okay to slot a midfielder or CB into the role any time the sole decent FB on the books is unavailable.
FBs account for 20% of the outfield players so we ought to have four or five in the squad not just a couple. Plus, that four or five actually need to be ready for the fray, not some lightweight "prospect" learning on the job. I don't mind a homegrown dev squad kid getting the odd minute on the pitch but we cannot dumbly rely on substandard youngsters to permanently fill the FB positions - we need some RND level of quality and experience players.

Yep it's always difficult to ascertain the standard of football outside of the top leagues, but he played 32 times last year scoring 5 goals as well. He says he likes to be vocal on the pitch, which is definitely a big plus for us as we are far too quiet at times.Originally posted by 3London View Post1st Signing over the line.
Boy Kemper - looks like a solid LB

Qpr have been credited with interest in Cádiz midfielder Moussa Diakité, with Spanish outlet Radio Cádiz reporting that the Championship side are among the clubs monitoring the Mali international this summer.
At 22 years old, he combines youth with a relatively significant amount of senior experience, having already accumulated 62 appearances for Cádiz despite his age. He has also broken into the Mali national team, earning his first senior international cap this season, further enhancing a profile that already carries considerable upside.
Standing at 6ft 2in, Diakité would immediately add physical presence to a midfield group that could soon lose two of its most combative operators. Yet reducing him purely to a physical midfielder would do him a disservice.
His defensive numbers from last season are particularly eye-catching. Among midfielders in La Liga 2, he ranked in the 94th percentile for defensive actions, the 98th percentile for ball recoveries and the 92nd percentile for interceptions. Those are elite figures regardless of league context and point towards a player with an excellent understanding of defensive positioning, anticipation and timing.
The duel statistics are equally impressive. Diakité won 58% of his ground duels and 62% of his aerial duels last season, placing him in the 86th and 87th percentiles respectively among midfielders in the division. In a Championship league renowned for its physical demands, those numbers immediately stand out.

Totally agree on both counts.Originally posted by QPRDave View PostDon't agree with selling Kolli, he is the best finisher at our club.
Saito is not strong enough for this division and I've said it for 2 yrs.
I just feel that releasing Rayan Kolli now we'd be shooting ourselves in the foot. I know he blows hot and cold but he's only 21 and I'd certainly be prepared to give him another chance particularly if there's uncertainty about the future of Burrell.
