Spending £650K on a reserve goalkeeper ? apparently not going to be be first choice according to WLS

At one stage under Warburton we had Dieng, Lumley and Liam Kelly all competing for the number one spot, it forced Dieng to step up, once Kelly and Lumley left Seny’s form dropped off.

it’s been so up and down for Kolli. There’s something about his attitude that doesn’t seem right to me. His dad regularly interfering also isn’t a good look. I don’t think Stephan rates him and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him sold.

In the Austria squad Kolli is continuing his athletic and physical development at the training ground. Surely he cant be injured.......perhaps hes off?

I've been thinking about the signing of Ward.

We've signed a keeper in "a deal worth" £650k who will compete to be our Nos 1, after selling our 4th ranked keeper in "a deal worth" £500k.

It seems a good deal to me even if hes our back up keeper. Hes approaching his peak years and has plenty of experience.

Agreed and if Charles comes in as widely reported we’re sorted at GK. Hopefully if Boy looks as good as he does in the video clips, we’re sorted at LB (may need a back up though if Lekache is not fancied and Esq is off (no where to be seen at the moment).

Read somewhere that we’ve had 2 bids for midfielders turned down so at least we’re looking. We need 2 at least to replace Hayden and Field. We looked lightweight in midfield last season so this position is a priority.

Less of a priority is a RB as neither Dunne or Mbengue are natural in that position and Adamson is not good enough.

And even less of a priority is Centre Back but we should be ok if and it’s a big if, JCS stays fit and Morrison shows the sort of form he’s capable of.

And, Plymouth are more likely to get promoted from L1 than we are from the Championship. So the Cooper add-ons are more like to come in from that deal, than ours going out.

If we do get promoted then our add-ons are spare change.

Yes tough for him but agree he needs a loan as currently not good enough and a liability as proven in several matches last season - particularly Derby at home. Harsh I know but that’s football at this level.
