I’ve watched all the preseason games and in the first 2 in Austria I thought Burrell looked the sharpest of all the players when he was selected alone up front, Chair, Kone and Dunne all looked well off their best form.
It was only in the Fiorentina game that Chair and Dunne looked to have picked up a little of their form.
Against Millwall Burrell and Kone looked like they couldn’t be bothered, so fair play to Alfie Lloyd who came on and as usual gave 100% effort which made a decent impact on the game . Chair was back to his old tricks of hanging on to the ball too long and often lacked finesse in some of his passing and shooting in a ‘free central midfield role’
I accept it wasn’t his best game but there were at least 2 others that were far worse on Saturday.
I would want to see him selected out wide on the left in his regular position before condemning him to the knackers yard this early in the season.Comment

Defender Tylon Smith is set to join New England Revolution on loan from QPR with a view to a permanent move.
The South African centre-back, 21, moved to west London last summer and more recently was part of his country’s squad at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Well that's a bit of a let down. The club seemed to place a lot of stock in the lad - they've not been slow at giving him airtime and publicity and seemed to have high hopes for him. Maybe he hasn't settled into life in England or just can't step up to the level of EFL. Whatever way you cut the cake it's a disappointment.
However, to me he looked far too puny to be an EFL centre half so I always had my reservations about him.Comment

At 21 he should be a strapping lad, but he's way too slight. When he made the odd appearance he got skinned and gave away pens trying to recover. He was way off the pace. With a season in the States we might get a few quid to cover our investment in him....?????Comment

Silly haircut doesn't help! He looks like a cartoon character. Seems very slight for a cb and got bullied when he played last year. Shame though as he looked a prospect but at 21 and nowhere near the level we needed from him it seems like it was a gamble that never really worked out. Good luck to him in the States.Comment

QPR are thrilled to confirm the permanent capture of Dennis Cirkin.
The left-back, 24, arrives in W12 with experience of both Premier League and Championship football - helping Sunderland win promotion to the top flight during a five-year stay on Wearside.
Cirkin made 127 appearances for the Mackems, scoring eight times before moving onto pastures new this summer.
"I'm buzzing," he told www.qpr.co.uk. "It feels good to be back in London.
"After chatting with the CEO (Christian Nourry), the head coach (Julien Stéphan) and many people at the club, I feel like this is the right place for me - with the right ambition.
"They're very ambitious and that's something that aligns with me."
Dublin-born Dennis moved to London at a young age, coming through the ranks at Tottenham Hotspur before switching to Sunderland in 2021.
He has been capped by England up to Under-20 level and, against a backdrop of several offers this summer, views this move to QPR as a way of further developing his pedigree.
"I'm pretty much aligned with a lot of what the head coach has told me," he added. "His values, his morals. I can't wait to work under him.
"I'm super excited to meet the boys and get into training."
The goal for this season?
"I think it should be the obvious one, which is, for sure, the play-offs," Cirkin said. "I feel like everyone's got that thought in their head.
"I wanted to join this club because they have that vision - and now it's just about executing the vision."
QPR CEO Christian Nourry added: "It is a pleasure to bring Dennis to west London.
"He brings experience of being promoted to the Premier League with Sunderland and further strengthens our defensive ranks.
