Add that to £5m for Varanne and £2m to Saito and our sumner sales should be complete. Hopefully we can use the Varanne & Saito money to dip into L1 again.

I do hope that we manage to sign a couple of players with some physicality about them this summer so that we can better defend and use set pieces. In the latter stages against Derby yesterday I thought our team looked a bit on the diminutive side. I am thoroughly sick now of seeing teams just push through us on that basis.

Burrell, high chance of bid. 10 goals from 35 shots is superb. Kone has 10 goals from 92 shots.

£2m for Saito, sorry just can't see it. 3 goals from 29 shots, 2 assists. In and out of side, poor season.

Varanne, up and down, amazed if we get decent bid.

As ever, you only sell players you want to keep. I want to keep Burrell, we can't stand in his way if chance of premier league or promotion comes his way.

I’d take a gamble and try to hold on to Burrell for another season. Handled well his value could increase quite a bit. And you can’t be sure that Wolves will do any better than us next season. His career might stall if he goes to Wolves.

I think Burrell and Kone have potential to bring in BIG transfer fees. We need to maximise their value by:

Playing them regularly as a front two
Set up in an attack minded formation in order to provide them with good service
Play with pace and speed to get the opposition back peddling and stretched

If we do the above, both of them will shine. It is very important that Nourry and the manager are both on board with this approach - if we play plodding cautious football, it hugely dents their "look" and value. Also, players like Madsen and Vale would be enhanced in terms of looking like play-makers who get lots of assists if they are the hub of a flowing football team that scores goals for fun.

The above requires the urgent acquisition of decent fullbacks to ensure we have a solid back line to hold the fort and prevent us getting sucker-punched on the break.

In a longwided way Im saying GET SOME BLOODY FULLBACKS IN!

The goals conceded column is down there with the relegated teams. When Varanne goes, get an absolute terrier in with the energy of a border collie!

Two full backs, defensive mid and maybe a keeper.

i think we need

a keeper - Clearly none of what we have are deemed good enough (rightly)
a right back - Mbenge does ok there but adamson is not championship quality
a left back - maybe getting Larkeche back will help
a holding midfielder - someone to play alongside madsen
and a back up to kone - the game against derby showed we have no one else who can get physical with 2 centre backs we let frey go and maybe the mystery striker we signed in jan can do that - if he can't we need someone to help Kone out.

Chapecoense are interested in signing Hevertton Santos from QPR.

The right-back, 25, has been on loan at Portuguese club Gil Vicente, who have an option to sign him on a permanent deal this summer.

But he could return to his native Brazil, with Chapecoense, who are bottom of the country’s Serie A, indicating that they are keen on him.

Santos has spent most of his career in Portugal, where he was at Sporting Lisbon and played for Estrela prior to his move to Loftus Road in 2024.

He returned there to join Vitória SC on loan, having failed to impress at Rangers, and after they declined to take up an option to keep him he was loaned out again last summer.

Santos made six Championship appearances for QPR, two of them as a substitute, and did not impress.

varane imo does a job Morgan can do but Morgan has an eye for goal.

Saito either needs to bulk up or go too light no idea what the Japanese lad at Blackburn would cost but he ripped us apart if we lost a few

No news really, but a LM interview if anyone is bored!!

Liam Morrison turned heads early in his career as he swapped Parkhead for German giants Bayern Munich. He’d feature in their youth ranks before a loan to Wigan and permanent switch to QPR in 2024. Morrison has been with Aberdeen for the second half of the season and a win over Livingston on Friday night should see the Dons secure their Premiership status. Aberdeen would be keen on keeping the ex Celtic talent but their QPR loanee has focus only for silencing critics.

Where do we go from here? We have spent quite a lot of money this season but just can’t see anyone in the squad that has improved significantly bar Madsen, even him I can’t see getting a fee of more than £6 million. I feel Dunne is one player that would have interest but it would be a total disaster to let him go next season, today showed that without the likes of Dunne, Cook and Field (bridges burnt?) the team mental strength is clearly lacking.

The issue now is that St Etienne are probably fully aware they are only team interested in Varane who has gone backwards and they will offer less than they did last time, bet they come back with £2 million upfront plus appearances based fee. I still think we should take it.

We are relying on a very small target of clubs to sell to, relegated clubs who have the money and clubs with more money than sense like Wrexham and Birmingham. No established Premier team will be interested in any of our players.

As for self sustainability, I just don’t see it at the moment. Don’t think we are going to see another Eze type sale any time soon.

We will sell Burrell I think to salvage something.
