We're a great option for a young promising player because they'd know they'd get pitch time. Older players may need to accept that younger players will be given priority and game time may be harder to come by. If they want to play we might not be an attractive option, but we'd be fine if they're happy to get 20 games.

We are a low budget team offering young players a chance and we have very good training facilities. If only we could sort out the medical side of things, we'd be a no brainer for young players.Originally posted by Shania View PostI wonder how attractive as a club for new players we are? Top, middle or bottom if rated by an outsider.. Just a thought.

QPR eye Dinamo Zagreb deal
It has been reported by Croatian outlet 24 Sata that QPR are keen on a deal for Ivan Nevistić this summer.
The Championship side want to bring the 27-year-old to Loftus Road in a bid to solve their goalkeeping issues for next season.
It is expected that a deal could come together quite quickly, with clubs looking to get moves done in these early stages of the summer market.
Dinamo Zagreb are believed to be willing to cash in on the shot-stopper, but they have yet to receive a concrete offer from QPR at this stage.
Nevistić has made 59 appearances in the Croatian top flight for Zagreb, playing a role in three title wins and a second place finish in that time.
Ivan Nevistic, 27, from Croatia ➤ GNK Dinamo Zagreb, since 2020 ➤ Goalkeeper ➤ Market value: €500k ➤ * 31/07/1998 in Đakovo, Croatia

Harrison Ashby popped up on my Insta feed.. liked him, don't feel he got a fair crack of the whip here on loan the other season - kept moving him to LB and/or leaving him out. Given we are woefully short in FB department I'd have him back as a RB. As far as I can see, he's still a NUFC player but was on loan at Bradford last season.

Our sick bay is definitely very attractive to players... I reckon it's kitted out with PlayStations, a bar, a cinema and is staffed by Geishas.Originally posted by Sleeping Giants View Post

Please do not post things like this , you will give our hierachy ideas that fans want him , like Hayden and Saito and we will end up signing him. Ashby was terrible for us and is league 2 standard at best.Originally posted by Abseits View PostHarrison Ashby popped up on my Insta feed.. liked him, don't feel he got a fair crack of the whip here on loan the other season - kept moving him to LB and/or leaving him out. Norwich City and QPR are among several Championship sides eyeing moves for 21-year-old full-back Filip Luberecki this summer.
The defender has impressed with Motor Lublin and Poland’s Under-21 team, with the asking price set to come in at around £850,000 plus bonuses.

Queens Park Rangers have identified Wigan Athletic‘s Sam Tickle as a key target as part of their rebuild of the goalkeeping department this summer.
The West London side have a big task on their hands in the coming months, having already confirmed that both Paul Nardi and Ben Hamer will depart at the end of this season, while Joe Walsh signed a new contract at the start of this season.
According to Alan Nixon, QPR have now set their sights on the 24-year-old Tickle, who has attracted multiple suitors in recent years for his stellar performances for Wigan, earning himself a place in the League One Team of the Season in the 2024/25 campaign.
Those performances alerted sides like Preston North End and Sunderland in 2024, but the shot stopper remained at the Latics and thwarted any further interest from Sheffield United by signing a new four-year deal 12 months ago.
Now, it is believed that The R’s are gearing up for a bid, with Nixon stating that a fee in the £1.5 million to £2 million range could be on the cards if a deal is completed, a figure lower than previous attempts to buy would have had to fork out.
Tickle played every single game for his side in League One this season, providing two assists in the process, in what was a rather underwhelming campaign which saw Ryan Lowe sacked and replaced with Exeter City head Gary Caldwell.

That's ignoring his misuse by Cifuentes though. He is a RB but was played at LB NINE times, midfield SEVEN times and only got to play FIVE times in his natural position of RB. Like I said, I don't feel he got a fair crack of the whip and its unreasonable to judge him when he was played out of position for 75% of his league appearances. Notwithstanding all that, I thought he looked like he had something about him - I'd have him ahead of Mbengue at RB all day.Originally posted by Harrow QPR View Post

Incidentally, Mbengue is an accident waiting to happen, how rubbish would he have looked continually getting shunted into midfield or leftback like Ashby had to put up with?
We need 3, maybe 4 FBs, Adamson and Mbengue aren't good enough and Larkeche is 50/50, difficult to say with him. We are not a rich club so I feel Ashby would be a serviceable VFM acquisition provided some other FBs came in too. Ultimately, I feel the club will ignore the FB berths and continue to deploy suboptimal players there and/or shunt CBs or CMs over there to patch up their recruitment holes.

I believe Mbengue's natural position is a CB and has played there 0% of the time under JS. Harsh to say hes an accident waiting to happen if hes played out of position all season.Originally posted by Abseits View Post

Once the transfer window has closed and the season is up and running I would be deeply concerned if Mbengue was a regular 1st XI starter. You'd think RND would have opened folks eyes in terms of what a reasonably decent , steady, solid and reliable Championship standard FB looks like. Simple fact is this: we have the second worse defensive record in the division.... we simply MUST sort out some solid FBs to compliment what appears to be a decent stable of CBs.

I think we will get specislist FBs into the club in the summer, and a new keeper. And that will be great for the defence as a whole.
Dunne and Edwards will be the first choice CB pairing, so the question will be who will the back up players. Cook has gone, Morrison seems settled in Scotland and JCS has a terrible injury record. But I think Morrison will get sold and leaving us with Mbengue and possibly JCS as back ups. It seems a bit too soon for Smith.
Player contracts run to 31 May and there hasnt been any news that JCS has left the club. So we must be looking to extend him. Hopefully on a basic wage and bonuses based on the number of appearances.
