NKENG SET TO JOIN QPR ✅

QPR have now agreed a fee with Wimbledon to sign 19 year old Junior Nkeng. The R’s will pay an intial £850,000 which could rise up to £1 million for the Spainsh born winger.

QPR were not the only club interested with Nottingham Forest, Norwich and Millwall all also being interested.

Yep Dono is correct. The journo Graeme Baily originally announced QPR had won the race, but has changed his story to Forest.

Would not want to see Morgan go. Started last season poorly but thought he had a reasonably decent run in and was more getting into his groove. Given we only have two senior strikers if we get rid of Kolli, who showed promise last season, need at least one preferably two new strikers.

I dont think Morgan will get many opportunities at an attacking midfielder and hasnt scored many or created many assists. In his core role as a defensive midfielder I've noticed that hes too easy to get passed. He seems very one paced and doesnt have the acceleration to be a ball winner. You could drive a coach and horses through the rear mudfield one/two.

At 21yrs Id prefer to see him go out on loan, but if theres a decent fee and sell on clause then so be it. But he needs to move on in some form because I think his opportunities are going to be limited this season.

Its either Varane or Morgan out the door right now. Especially as Edwards has moved into midfield too.

I didn't realise Morgan was 21, thought he was a couple of years younger. Given where he is development-wise, a move is probably the best way forward. You know what'll happen though: we'll cut some players loose and those still here will start dropping like flies with injuries and we'll bemoan the lack of depth in the squad..

I'm quite a fan of his but let's see if this Liverpool lad turns up otherwise it's a flip of a coin between him and varane who has really dropped off form wise

I think that'd be the best option as it stands. If Varane gets sold and Madsen remains irritatingly "not quite fit" over coming weeks, I'd lean towards keeping him here though.

Charles, Morgan and Kolli were all under 21 on 1/1/26 so do not count towards the 25 limit on squad. Everyone else in the main squad is too old and counts towards the total.

I believe you have to name 1 club-developed u21 in the matchday squad so possibly worth keeping Morgan about to meet that requirement?

All loans have to be declared in named 25 man squad regardless of age.
