Yes, vote anonymously and if you want your opinion to be known, simply make a post.

As West says, it's a football forum and most people are already protected behind a moniker, so what's there to worry about?

Erm why would people honestly care if complete strangers knew if they did or didnt want Mackie back? Not sure I can see what the problem is...

You want as many people voting as possible to get as decent a representation of how the whole board feels for any poll to be at least relevant (you could argue that less than a hundred posters on WATRB are not statistically relevant, but still). Some may not vote if it isn't anonymous.

You may not care, others might. Why is important that you know which individuals have voted which way? Those that wish to get involved with the conversation can do.

Again, I don't see why. Especially on a poll about a player who left the club two years ago! And people are already anonymous behind their usernames. How much more protected do they want to be?!

Obviously it's not that important in the grand scheme of things, but it just makes it much more interesting to see who stands where.

                  IMO.
                  YMMV.

Hove Ranger had to tell me what that meant the other day.

Rarely vote in polls, but that certainly isn't down to whether other people would see how I voted. I don't suppose many people would care quite frankly and if they did, I should be able to explain the reasons if I had an opinion.

I find most polls can sometimes give the wrong impression on how people view players too. Take this one for example. I absolutely loved Jamie Mackie, for his effort, commitment and determination. And whilst he had his limitations, would have kept him here as a squad player if possible and was sad to see him leave. But under the circumstances, I certainly wouldn't be keen on him returning now as we appear to be bringing in younger players who will progress together.

                                Possibly.

But he'd be in for quite a disappointment.
