To be fair, with Boy Kemper in at LB, it's only the GK position that we need to fix isn't it? Jimmy and Mbengue options at RB. Jimmy, Liam, JCS and Ronnie at CB. Midfield and forwards are more than enough. Maybe need some cover in the FB positions but no major changes needed or am I wrong?

We need a GK, 2 if Walsh is sold.

This idea of a player covering two positions is a disastrous approach, particularly with our injury record. We MUST have two competent specialist players for every position. So, 2 LBs, 2 RBs, 2 right-sided CBs and 2 left-sided CBs. We need 3 new defenders before you even start debating who's actually competent.


I think our midfield is lightweight and lacks power/dynamism. Need at least 1 more (and Varane to rediscover his form).

I don't rate our wingers at all. I would like 2 more.

We seem okay up front.

To me, having "personnel" is not the same as having a solid balanced 25-man squad capable of finishing top 8.

Obviously we WILL see some ins/outs but right now we are a bottom 5 team - there is a lot to fix.

We were poor in defensive midfield last season. Team could just run through us. We need a terrier in there who will get stuck in.
