I have no idea how long Field's got left on his contract, but if he wants to leave us, I wonder what his value would be?

Surely a big club like Norwich could afford £1.5m, another £500k if they got into the top 8 and another £500k if they got promoted.....?

£1.5m upfront for a player in his peak years with bags of championship experience is very affordable....???

I have a feeling the days of big transfer fees are behind us now, with the Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) coming into Championship next season which only allows 85% revenue to be spend on playing squad includes wages and transfer fees, players are not going to accept wages decreases that is for sure. Explains why we are letting big earners like Cook and Hayden go though. So apart from likes of relegated teams with parachute payments and Birmingham and Wrexham with their huge sponsorship deals we have a very limited pool of teams to sell to.

With the 3/4 smallest ground in league and Wrexham being one of them, we are going to have a bottom 3 budget next season compared to rest of division. Let’s hope their are buyers for likes for Madsen so we can reinvest in the squad.

The name Boy Kemper may not be one that's too familiar for North End fans, but R's supporters have heard plenty about him in recent weeks. The Dutchman has spent his entire career in his native country, having risen through the ranks at Volendam and Ajax.

The 26-year-old is currently the captain of Eredivisie side NAC Breda, but will leave the club on a free transfer at the end of June, with QPR already registering interest in signing the left-back in the summer.

Yeah, thats the way it seems to be going. I just hope there's some money out there for Madsen, Varane & Field so we have a chance to keep Kone & Burrell unless really stupid offers come in for one of them.

I can see a lot of players leaving if there's money on the table and end of contract players coming in. Free transfers like Kemper (LB) and Sidibe (DMF) seem to have plenty of experience. Im sure there are plenty of European based free transfers out there to keep us a midtabled side at the very least.

It's unlikely we'd fend off premier league/top level championship interest in him if the 10m was to come in for him but that would ultimately mean we'd be looking for 2 central midfielders not just a partner we currently need for him.

As good as Madsen had been last season I dont think hes good enough for the pace of the premier league.

One day he might get sold to a relegated premier league side for their promotion push, but I reckon £5m next summer would make us £1.5m profit after we've had him three seasons. Its rumoured hes contracted to 2029.

I think Madsen needs good players around him, not just team mates but opponents too. I thought he looked very comfortable and at home in the cup game against West Ham. I think his brain and energy are affected when he has dumb negative mindless play going on around him. You could argue that means he's not actually much use to us given some of the players we have and our tendency to go sideways and backwards but I reckon we could get even more out of him next season so I'd be delighted to keep him.

QPR, Bristol City and Swansea eyeing transfer for Stockport County's Adama Sidibeh

The player in question is Adama Sidibeh, with interest in the striker's signature intensifying in the wake of Stockport's defeat to Bolton ahead of a potential transfer battle in the coming weeks and months.

Can't see bid for Kone, 92 shots for 10 goals, poor return.

Burrell, 10 goals from 35 shots, exceptional. Another club should bid for him. Don't want him to go, but expecting he will. Goals against shots ratio, he's likely best striker in Championship.

I wouldnt be surprised to see West Ham bid for Burrell.

They'll have a lot of players leaving them for cheap premiership money (£30m+) and they'll be spending top championship money (£10m+).

Im sure we have eyes all over the top L1 performers and euro leagues.

The transfer window opens two weeks Monday!!

I wonder how attractive as a club for new players we are? Top, middle or bottom if rated by an outsider.. Just a thought.

I am guessing that from the outside we may seem a decent prospect to join. But if such a player was aware of our “project” and the knock effect upon lack of ambition, they might think twice.

FFP is still a worry for us when it comes to ambitions.
