It shouldn't go amiss that this is very poor behaviour on WBA's behalf to hold back door discussion with another club's manager before the season has ended. FFS, couldn't it wait an extra week!!!!

I hope the FA get involved.

If he has been speaking to West Brom then he can do one, hasta la vista baby.

I never liked his style of play, especially the tippy toe crap.

Nobody is bigger than the club.

      We move on.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Marti obviously had enough to go behind clubs back another Beale and tbh his football was far better to watch

Has this situation been deliberately set up by Marti & WBA so we sack him and therefore they avoid paying us the compensation?

####ing poor form by WBA & Marti - they deserve each other #####!!!

              It's a sad end.
I liked Marti, he seemed like a decent person. He saved us last season, and we (just about) avoided a relegation dogfight this season.
It has to be said that at times our football was dire, and he must take some responsibility for that.
I wish him well, thanks for all he's done, now we move onto another chapter.

Next season he will be getting big boos from me plus a few other “passionate” words, all that pumping of the chest before and after the game walking round the pitch is patronising, knew he was gone after that. He can take his boring football elsewhere and go #### himself

Tbf he was lucky to survive that winless run before Christmas.
But to find out he held talks with another club last September ( being spoken about on X ) and then again now is too much.
All that bull #### coming from his mouth.
Disappointing, but my god some the games this year have been beyond crap.
We just need a manager with a simple philosophy and exciting football.

                        So all i want to know now, is;

Did Marti fall out with Nourry and that's why he spoke with WBA?
                        or
Did Marti or his team speaking with WBA cause the fall out?

IE. Do we have a problem in Nourry?

Over Marti, see ya later mate.

Hope the club move fast, but considered in getting someone in. Also make sure we get paid for Marti jumping ship if infact he's the one doing the jumping.

That`s true, but Cifuentes(snake B maybe) and Beale(snake A definetly were both questioning why we had so many reoccurring injuries so that`s a problem we have to solve regardless. However, if I may add, all is not lost

A lot of chirpy comments on this thread! Marti hasn’t done bad with what he’s had in front of him. He clearly doesn’t pull any of the strings at the club - the kid makes the signings, the head of keeping people fit based overseas etc etc. I personally don’t like his style of backwards possession football but then I’ve never been a pro manager so what do I know (before anyone points that out).

For me the passion has been missing on the pitch for too long, we’re lethargic and almost apologetic on the break - no wonder the front line gets pissed off, by the time the ball gets down there the oppo has everyone back!

Some questionable decisions around playing Paal most of the season - he got drawn out of position so many times in every single game he played. Also says something when most of the super signings from Noury were pants and the best players were loanees or those away on a free in the summer. What a way to run a club.

The BIG problem we’ve got now is drawing in a decent manager before the transfer window triggers an exodus of people out of contract leaving and us needing to replace them to even stand still.

(and yes I’ve already renewed my season ticket!)

I won't come down on him until some of these rumours become facts , that aside his football was boring and a hard watch .
I for one won't be sad if he's off .
First and foremost it's the badge and supporters that matter to me .... Nothing else ....managers will come and go like the badge kissing mercenary players .

I think you have summed up our shortcomings under Marti nicely. Thing is, they all seem like common-sense things to address - do you actually need a "tactical genius" to work out you have to play with energy and intensity in the EFL? Maybe it won't be that hard to get a manager who understands what we need?
