Nardi form dropped off after a very good start, I would guess the publicity around Walsh taking his place is just a message to shake him up.
Walsh looks slow to react and hesitant to me, the other Keeper Salamon has great agility and I think will eventually be a very good number 1.

Nardi is in friendlies squad. That said Walsh needs to be given a half decent run at some point. He will be 50 at this rate before he gets a proper chance!

Santos out on season long loan with suggestion of option to buy.

I like Walsh I think he'll be fine, but I thought Nardi was excellent, it'll be a shame if he does go, but if it means we make a decent profit then that again shows that our current business model is starting to work out as it should.

Yeah, I did wonder why Nardi didn't play in the first game. If Walsh is good enough and there's value in a Nardi sale then it makes sense. That's what we need to do when developing young players. Hopefully Walsh and Kelman have great seasons.

"QPR are among the clubs eyeing a move for Brazilian defender David Sousa from RWD Molenbeek. It has been exclusively revealed by FLW that there are a number of Championship sides looking at the 23-year-old. It was previously reported by The Athletic that Swansea City had an offer for the player worth €1 million (£850,000) rejected. It is believed that QPR, Derby County, Coventry City and Middlesbrough are all in the race to sign Sousa this summer".

I'm sure they'd still have to put a cash value on the player being swapped.

Are we still looking for a left back? Leeds have let Junior Firpo leave as a free agent. No idea what his wage demand would be but just an observation.

Stirling will end up at somewhere like Rangers or Celtic

If junior Hoilett can still play and score goals in the spl at 35 then Stirling certainly can at 30

I hear you, but the Board has decided its not part of their strategy. Also, the average age of the Chelsea first team last year was 24yrs, thats what we're chasing. Not a team of Harry Rednapp's old boys.

The strategy is to create a financially sustainable club, and promotion seems to be a nice to have. The Board has asked supporters to be patient with young players who are developing. Nouray has also stated in the past that throwing young players into the first team will increase their development.

The days of signing players in their late 20s & early 30s and having development players at 23yrs who have hardly kicked a ball in anger in the first team have long gone. Every position on the pitch will be occupied by a player who has the potential to be sold for a profit.

Talk of Wilson, Sterling and Hayden and the like are non-starters. We will bring in players 21-24yrs and hope to sell by the time theyre 27yrs. The only exception as I read the situation will be our boys who have proved themselves and get extended when their contracts run out.
