According to reporter Pete O’Rourke, the Hoops are joined by Preston North End and Wycombe Wanderers in considering a move for Bolton Wanderers centre-back George Johnston. The 26-year-old is in the final year of his contract at the Toughsheet Community Stadium and could prove to be a relatively low-cost option for a potential suitor this summer.
George Johnston, 27, from Scotland ➤ Bolton Wanderers, since 2021 ➤ Centre-Back ➤ Market value: €650k ➤ * 01/09/1998 in Manchester, England
Reports emerged in the Sheffield Star that QPR “see Norrington-Davies as a potential transfer option”, which could see another Blades defender depart this summer.
Rhys Norrington-Davies, 26, from Wales ➤ Queens Park Rangers, since 2025 ➤ Left-Back ➤ Market value: €2.20m ➤ * 22/04/1999 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Ba now rumoured to be signing on a free but mentions of complications over his medical. Should fit in well!

We aren't signing finished articles, we are signing people to build up and sell on. So going forward don't expect anyone we sign to be a finished article. Probably happen once or twice every few years, keep a backbone in tact, but everyone else will be unknowns and need to learn, develop, and grow.

We need to sign at least 3 players now. No recognised ledr back. No proper back up at right back. No back up at Left centre back. Still no proper No 8.
Celar wearing No 9 is a insult to the No.9's we've had in the past. Even Rob steiner was better than this lad. Pls Rangers get the cheque book out. We cant rely on kids.

Contracted to 30 June 2027Originally posted by Abseits View PostI thought Saito was a free agent - who are we supposedly "buying" him off? I hope we don't do another "Faurlin" and get ensnared in the murky world of 3rd party ownership. Aside from all that I wouldn't pay anything like that for him, he's not robust enough for the rigours of EFL and our sick-bay is already treating players on trolleys in reception....

got injured in his first training session apparently! good to see him taking the QPR striker tradition with him to his new club.Originally posted by Darkranger View Post
Totally agree, I liked his energy and enthusiasm last season. He still looked a bit raw at times and this will certainly help him and us. Kellman was a success there, hopefully Alfie will have a similar impact.

Managed to feature regularly for us, no fitness issues, and personally thought longer season went on the better he coped with the physicality of it. Going to be another long, hard season and we need bodies. If we are playing one up top and relying on attacking players behind the striker will need more than we have.
