All the best, Jack!
The club would like to thank Jack Colback for his contribution to QPR during a two-year stay in W12.
Colback’s contract with QPR expired in the summer and as the transfer window comes to a close today, we can confirm the midfielder will not be returning.
Colback, who joined following his departure from Nottingham Forest in 2023, made 55 appearances in all competitions for the R’s, scoring four goals.
QPR CEO Christian Nourry said: “Jack formally left us following the expiry of his contract at the end of last season but there was always a possibility something could happen over the last two months.
“While that hasn’t been the case, the club is grateful to Jack for his efforts over the past two seasons, where his ability and experience were hugely valued by the group.
“We thank him and wish him every success for whatever comes next.”

Southampton is just 1….5 hours from the training groundOriginally posted by Abseits View PostD'ya reckon we're done now? Doesn't feel like there's much credible news/gossip relating to us in terms of ins OR outs... given window shuts at 7pm which right now is 8hrs away it feels we've concluded our business.

Would like to see a right back and a centre mid in, but I doubt it’s on the cards.

Any rumours guys?
I don’t think we’ll see much happening inbound. A few loans going out I reckon.
Will we have enough strength in depth if that is the case?
Thoughts ?

What about Chair, weren’t Leicester interested last week, and just get shot of Madsen somehow.
That should raise £5 to 6,000,000 for the pair.
I ´d keep Varane, he’s a far better prospect than Madsen, Varane reminds me a little of Don Masson.

With Edwards out of the Southampton first team surely £6-7m would get him. Theyd double their money on him then. With our permi and loan signings this summer, I doubt whether theres enough of circa £13m left from the Eze & Kelman money to fund Edwards without selling another player. I agree that we'd be in better shape with Varane out and Edwards in.Originally posted by Abseits View Post
Yes. Don't really understand why Varane's stock is so high with many of us? He's average in my view.. had an iffy start last season then did settle down. He was better than Andersen and Madsen but that's a low bar. I don't see him ever taking the game by the scruff of the neck or "dominating". Offers nothing going forwards and doesn't seem to be a focal point for linking play with the attack - he's just been a cog in our slow plodding play and hasn't done much to address the fact we're too soft, too easy to play against and too easy to get at.
He's certainly not a liability and I'm not itching to launch him either. BUT £4/£5 Million would be a tidy profit I'd consider. Moreover, if that money greased the wheels for a move for Edwards it does become very attractive. I actually think Edwards would be a better defensive midfielder than Varane.
The only other player that would generate a decent fee would be Kolli. I think Leicester are quite keen on him. Again, Edwards would be better for the team than Kolli.....perhaps?
Perhaps theres the option of doing a swap deal with Southampton for either Varane or Kolli?
