We should be buying youngsters who are Prem class, so that when we get there we'll stay there and not have to panic buy at the end of August.
Yeah and there's so many of them knocking around for a pound or two? You make it sound like there's a real possibility to find these Prem class youngsters, let alone find them affordable and then convince them to come to a modest club in the Championship

Yep, I think too many compare a real life football world to the games on x-box, ps and the like, fully grown adults they are too

Oh and have you never borrowed a tenner before pay day?
Or spent money abondonly when you knew you were getting some more coming in?
Remy is gone and for good money and that is a fact.
Of course I've borrowed a tenner. What I haven't done is borrow more than the value of my house and everything I own on the gamble that I might win at the race track. Because that's pretty well what you are expecting of our club which is already massively in debt.

It garuntess promotion, because we are second with just charlie, a man who scores more than him will get us even more points and would probably even push us first.
Suppose he breaks his leg on his debut? How does it possibly "guarantee" promotion?

Come on mate, its nothing like that. There was 12 million spent and 12 million came back in, praise be. And there is another big chunk that was shelled out and back in with extra on top. So its hardly gambling the house it is. There is funds that have been spent and returned and with remy going, some available, we just have to take it out the electric bill tin till then.

Billy Sharp? Scored for fun at every level he has. Seems a lot of people get obsessed with one player and yes he scores a lot of goals, but who's to say we spend 10mill and then he flops? You'll all be on his back then.

Would I like us to sign him? Of course.
For 10 million? Not a chance, could get ince and then Graham on loan and have money left over
Exactly. A couple of years ago people on here were as obsessed about danny graham as they are now about rhodes. now the very same people probably are turning their noses up at the possibility of graham even though we are a division lower...

I am not one of these posters who come on here to argue and you are a good poster mate so not having a go - wd simply ask you to take a quick look at the accounts - really boring I know - and tell me where you spot the odd £8m knocking around in lose change. If you can find it and you can persuade Tony to chuck it at Rhodes no one wd be happier than me. Just not holding my breath...

Then we still have charlie to score the goals to get us up (thats why we need two provens), cos there is no way both will get injured , even you aint that coincidnece and bad luck in youre outlook are you?

Fair comment. I guess more accurate to say "unloaded from the wage bill".

No mate, i understand you are not having a go, and to be honest its good debate. The 8 million knocking about is the Remy money thats coming in, we just have to borrow it out of the savings for a few months first is what im saying, but its deffo coming back so the electric wont get cut off. If you know what i mean.

I know no one cares but when you have a chance to boast, then you gotta take it. Was the only 1 who said Rhodes won't be coming. TF has to cut back on spending and will not be spending that much on a striker especially when we are second. Anyway, got my boast out the way. We are getting promoted so all is good.

Are you going by what Harry said about costing too much? I think that's just him boxing clever tbh. We would be stupid not to be interested in Rhodes. Natural goal scorers like him are like rocking horse ****. Harry's just trying to play games and hoping that Blackburn are desperate for the cash and lower their asking price (hopefully).

Hope you are right. Don't mind me being wrong about this. Be a huge signing for us.
