I would base any deal on goals scored by him. Say 5m upfront, another 1.5 for promotion and another 1.5 for 50 goals? Am I dreaming?

Getting Rhodes is a no brainer for me. What happens if Charlie gets injured for a long period of time? were ****ed. And we cant expect a player coming in from Inter ressies to step up and score us the goals to take us up. Harry wants to sell Remy we already knew that so thats Rhodes paid for already. His goal scoring record is amazing and going up this season is a must financial wise. Rhodes is the sort of player id like us to spend big money on, look at the shite weve spent money on the last few seasons.

They need the dollar. They get 5 mill upfront which is a lot of money in the championship and tbf with rhodes joining us it would be more than likely they would get their add ons. I don't think that's a horrendous deal by any means and tbf it's probably what a lot of.clubs will try.

Whether he will or not is not up to you or me and not set in stone either and probably more to do with whether a Champions League club bid for him than anything else because the £16m Harry mentioned will have scared off the bargain hunters.

But that is a different question, I asked if people wanted him back, so I will ask the same question it a different way, Which player is better Remy or Rhodes?

How do you know Blackburn paid 8 mill upfront? Wasn't he brought when the venkys were in charge. They probably done a similar deal with them. A lot of deals you see complete say what the agreed fee is but don't usually state payment plans.

Remy is better than Rhodes, no doubt about it. Going by that I cant see us stumping up 8-9mill upfront for this guy.... Maybe at 5mill plus add-ons a deal could be brokered, but wether BBurn would accept that is another thing...

Not sure I'm comfortable spending big money on a player unproven at top level.
