Irony only ever works in the right context. Here we have a 9-10 page thread about signing Rhodes for many millions and people complaining that we haven't done our business early and also how the purchase of him would be a risk. And then you state the obvious in that young players that can make the step up to the Prem are the way forward like there are dozens of them about. The odd few that "might" make said step are not readily available to buy on 1st Jan for a couple of grand and even if they were, it would take more than a couple of weeks for the Board to show them that Rangers is the place to do it. Every one wants top class young players for minimal outlay signed in the first week of the window and bleats when it hasn't happened. If we get some such players in it will be great work done by the Board because they are as rare as hens teeth whereas your first message implies that we can just go to ASDA and pick one off the shelf.

I can understand your need to disparage many posters on here, who, for the most part, have honest, heartfelt opinions. Even when the owner of our club echoes similar sentiments.

For the most part they do - but in this instance I'm still waiting for the names of those you suggest fit the bill??
