    AI Overview

Charlie Kelman plays for the United States national team because he is eligible to represent the US due to his father being an American citizen and because he spent part of his childhood living in Texas. He has represented the US at the under-18 and under-20 levels. While born in England, his connection to the US through his father and childhood years in Texas makes him eligible to play for the USMNT.

I dont think we need Frey, Celar, Koli, Kelman and Lloyd all chasing one lone striker role. We also have Vale, Chair and Madsen who can play Nos 10.

Some cover in midfield and defence may be a better use of dosh.

Surely if Charlotte offer us the £7.5m they got for Agyemang then thats great business and he will be sold..???

When do we get the £500,000 from Leicester?

Will it be spent or banked?

The only outgoing could be Nardi, but I have no idea what he'd get sold for, perhaps £1m for a 31yr old keeper would be about right? That works out to be £20k a week averaged out over one season, which would probably cover Dunne's £10k to £30k a week to match what Cook is on.

Celar seems to be getting pushed into Nos 1 striker, so how that would pan out for Koli & Kelman who knows? Do we need Frey, Celar, Koli & Kelman all chasing the one up top role? Perhaps one of Koli & Kelman will be heading out for the greater good of the overall squad balance?

Without an Eze sale, then someone will surely have to be sold to fill weaker positions...???

Could actually work out better for us. A cash value still has to stated/agreed BUT the values are usually exaggerated to help with FFP.... Palace could swap Eze for Grealish and agree both players were worth £150million.

In that scenario Palace and City both book notional income of £150 million but the notional spend will be something like £30 million due to the fee being booked over the 5yrs of the player's contract (ie £30mil per year for 5 years).

They both end up £120million to the good for this financial year in terms of the transaction.

Suspect Sheep is largely right. Am expecting few more in if only to pad out squad but will likely be dependent on Eze or perhaps someone else such as Varane being transferred out so we may know what budget we have. Can see couple of loans and couple of cheap permanents in.

    Areas for recruitment:

    1. LB we have two young players. Would expect someone else in even if say CB who can play LB in case youngsters struggle to be regular starters.
    2. Think CM short. Once season underway and suspensions/injuries/loss of form start to take their toll another would be very useful.
    3. If say Lloyd leaves on loan (which I think he should for regular game time) then possibly loan in to replace him and provide cover and competition.
    4. Not necessarily strictly needed but like many here would like Saito back.

We do seem in pretty good shape overall and in better place than we normally are at this time.

I was thinking the same yesterday and was looking for something to get interested in.

But, we've extended Dunne which wouldnt have been cheap, signed some players and brought players back in from loans and back onto our payrolls. Also, Colback & Fox haven't left or been extended which suggests we havent got the funds. I think this all adds up to us having done our budget for next season.

We may get an income boost if some fringe players go out on loan, but that may well be adjusting what we've already spent? The squad looks decent and unless there's some Eze money arriving soon I dont think we'll see any new players arriving. Maybe a late arrival on deadline day....???
