Except for the fact Akindileni was offered a contract by Aberdeen and they did not want to lose him. So on the scrap heap that he managed to make the first team subs bench/

An overall package worth up to £5m for Varane isn't going to cut it. We'd surely be looking north of that amount as the initial payment???

Hard to determine how a 5m package might break down, but it would represent a substantial profit for us. I like Varane and have stated before "what a quality player he is", but I would be inclined to sell.

Am I the only one beginning to think Eze will do a "Wilfred Zaha" and spend his whole life at Palace? Weren't they paying North of £200K p/w to Wilf before he went to Saudi for a late-life pension boost? Makes me think that as long as they're in The Prem they will roll out the carpet and pay Eze big bucks to remain as their talisman.
