An ex player for QPR who had 1 exceptional season with us, took a bus ride from Foolham back home during a match and ate far too many of the omelettes at harlington. (While getting paid sh1t loads by us...)
Adel has amazing skill, but amazing skill does not a great player make.
The only reason he had that great season is because Warnock pandered to his ego and built the entire team around him. Nobody else would have done that. But credit to Neil for doing it - he saw an opportunity and grasped it with both hands and we all enjoyed the results.
Obviously Neil realized that Adel was nowhere near good enough for that to work in the Prem and that was it for him. If you are so greedy that you don't trust any of your teammates and think that every time you get the ball your job is to beat every opponent between you and the goal and then score, you will never even be a good player, never mind a great one. And that is Adel.
