Good signing. Proper player. If his fitness is managed well he will be a real asset. Our Maldini. (Hope the club have worked out new fitness regimes after all the injuries we had last season.)

Onoura is 27 you're talking like he is some 18 year old fresh out of schoolExactly this! People are screaming for Caulker but I wouldn't want him alongside Ned, both too inexperienced. Caulker and Rio yes, or Ned and Rio yes. I really don't see how we can REALISTICALLY sign a better CB than Ferdinand. Williams would have been excellent but in sure he could go to most clubs in the top 10We Are The People.....Comment

Vast experienced Champions League winner and a leader from Manchester United - Ji Sung Park? No, Rio Ferdinand. Tells it all.Comment

Circa £50k a week wages, no transfer fee and a 1 year contract. Would've cost the same if Man Utd had kept him on and loaned him to us for a season.
He isn't along term fixture like some of the dross we've been landed with, he'll add some balance to the squad whe we start signing a few younger players in the coming weeks.
Roll on August!!!
