If Rio does sign, I don't care what he earns as long as he performs next season.Originally posted by Stanley76 View PostSorry mate, but he's talking total b0llox.
When we have been paying wages for SWP, Park, Young, Johnson etc last season for doing f*ck all, at least we would have a good defender to strengthen us at the back.
Rio may be getting on a bit, but if he helps us stay up then its money well spent.
Nobody wanted Nelsen when we signed him, and we ended up missing him when he left.
I really hope he signs, as he will improve us.

No deal has been agreed. Check the latest on transfer update on SkySports. As usual media getting ahead of themselves. He is just in talks. Nothing confirmed. He may say he wants £80k or he go elsewhere. Who knows'The problem with quotes on the internet is you don't know if they are authentic' - Abraham Lincoln

I love the way so many fans know the inner workings of our finances and what is deemed an acceptable wage for any player, whilst factoring initial outlay, marketing potential, potential sell on etc etc etc. However, bear in mind, silly wages have been paid for years in general and by us in recent times, and now the Prem revenue has pretty much doubled since we were last there so wages will only go up further.
Let's just leave the numbers to the powers that be, who are actually fnancing the deals. They've been bitten in the past and are far more wary this time around, so with that being said, if they think a deal works for the club then so be it. That should be good enough for the fans.

agreed with all of that....who cares what players earn. I believe some fans actually lose sleep and worry over it, as if it's their own personal money that is financing these players. Crazy!Originally posted by Del View PostI love the way so many fans know the inner workings of our finances and what is deemed an acceptable wage for any player, whilst factoring initial outlay, marketing potential, potential sell on etc etc etc. However, bear in mind, silly wages have been paid for years in general and by us in recent times, and now the Prem revenue has pretty much doubled since we were last there so wages will only go up further.

Isn't this Rio the bloke who conveniently "forgot" to take part in a doping test a few years ago?Banning people is no longer my hobby,

FFP means I worry about the wages we pay. Literally nothing any of us can do about it, but it does concern me.Originally posted by twranger View Postagreed with all of that....who cares what players earn. Says the person who's come out with ridiculous comments.... no "I" dont get it, becasue apparently you know everything and we should all agree with your opinion of course.Originally posted by Rangersw12 View PostYou don't get it do you
The fact is i do get it, thanks, and know you clearly like to think you know everything to do with the club, which you clearly don't. Perhaps you should get over yourself......
