.....I've got to admit mate I'm with you on this one. The reality is it doesn't matter what he's won and achieved in his career its all about what he can do on the pitch now..... Im one of the biggest happy clappers on here but I'm just not convinced about this one.... it'll be fascinating to how much football knowledge costs though

I've bowed to the genius footballing knowledge of Sparky and Bunny and now believe it's a fantastic idea for the club to pay 80k a week for a player who's at the very end of his career and for years has played with a serious back injury.

From what these two have been saying, we can all expect Rio to play the full 38 game season because of his magnificent fitness levels

And when Rio hangs up his boots, we can sign a certain Mr Terry of SW6 and pay him a similar wedge.....

Is it? Who decides what is enough? There are plenty of people in this world who earn what seems silly money to us and good luck to 'em. If I win £60 odd million on the Euro lottery I aint gonna say it's too much and nor would you!

Of course I wouldn't and I don't blame the players, I blame the mugs who pay such wages. I personally believe in wage caps in football which would have to be agreed by all clubs in Europe. For example, no top division club can pay any player above 50k a week. The players have far too much power these days.

I would rather have Rio lining up alongside Nedum next season than Dunne or Hill.
Nedum has already said how he thinks Rio would be good for us.
It will also benefit Nedum as well learning from him as well.
