Until any of those players arrive, HR thinks Barton is the correct choice to play on the right. Your post suggested that Parker coming in would result in Barton going out and the analogy is quite a simple one - Parker in, Barton out = one being a direct replacement for the other. That clearly is no correct.
I didn't expect Barton to be here or in HR's plans now let alone in October but then again, I cannot predict what HR is thinking. If he is still here then I assume that's because he is wanted by HR or can't find a suitor.

With O'Neil and SWP I think we've got options on the right if Barton goes.

I still think that Parker coming in means Barton going personally, even though they do play in different positions.
