i understand where you are coming from as we have always been associated with mercurial number '10's' but the harsh reality of the championship is blood and guts will prevail. i think hoilett will unlock most defences for us this season and whilst no tarabbt in the maverick stakes a suitable alternative!

Yeah, i agree i think Hoilett has looked good so far and even though people have described him as 'selfish' so far i think you have to be selfish to be that type of player. I think he'll definitely hurt defences!

In my opinion though when the luck isn't going our way like in the Huddersfield game and we just can't get that killer goal you need someone to produce that bit of magic to either set up a goal or score a goal from nowhere. Taarabt was a great example of this but he's no longer at the club, so a playmaker wouldnt be such a bad idea - even a hardworking one to please everybody.

this has been coming since the day arry took over though, he loves his old boys. PERSONALLY i think parker is past it, his game is based on his engine (which is fading) rather than technique/brains. he should cut it in the championship though, hopefully he does well when/if he signs

i agree that we need a playmaker, if we're signign a CM i;d prefer a mark davies-esque player

If signing someone like Scott Parker doesn't please our fans then I give up!! He could still grace alot of prem teams and was playing for spurs last year who finished 5th.... Again another shrewd piece of business by Harry!! He's bringing in proper professional who will play for the shirt!!
How many better midfielders will there be in the championship - Parker is still in contention for England for god sake!!
