If it is only a transfer why would tony be really bigging it up?

Because it's a big signing, and timed beautifully ahead of the Asian tour.

The phrase global branding has been used and I'm guessing the Park signing, the tour next week, and a mention of stadium plans make it enough of a big deal to 'big it up'

It's not that big, and certainly not imo to wheel out the top brass for, don't remember a press conference for Cisse

We really have come a long way in a short time if Park Ji-Sung isn't a big signing for us.

I hope we don't get too greedy....

Well, if the conference is centred around Park and they're calling in the national and international press for it at a specially booked central London location, what effect do you think this will have on the rest of the squad? Won't the other players feel a bit miffed as to why the club is giving him the superstar treatment, like he's the Messiah or something?

I can't see MH allowing this. I think it could cause a lot of resentment.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

What news would you expect it to be for that would warrant a huge press conference, if a marquee signing, plus stadium update doesn't cut it for you?

As you allude to, it all adds to our Asian "presence".

Something which got under way spectacularly a few years back when we kicked seven bells out of the Chinese national side.

Obviously it's not just about hte signing, as good as it is.... for the Cisse Comparison, many down played him as he'd been "playing in Greek pub league for 2 years before failing at Lazio". PArk has been winning leagues and Champions league with Utd, so hardly small time. But that aside, it's obvious there will be some sort of stadium reveal. In his tweet the other day he said great meeting "looks great".... so by definition there must be either artist imprerssions, or a 3D graphical presentation. I'm sure that is what will be revealed.

Good timing also as it will make very public our ambition and plans for the near future, and thet acould help sway some potential signings to join the revolution.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if all the new signings are there for some photos with the new shirt etc, along with Park and maybe one other surprise signing???

Just to add gents, we've now shortened odds with Skybet to 4/7 and i think Bet Victor has stopped the market on him, as i cant see it on odds checker anymore nor can i find it on there site too!

I honestly can't see this one coming off given he's a free agent and quality and you'd think some better established clubs would be sniffing, however, if it did, id be delighted.
