Yeah i'm sure loads of people in Asia are registered with Player and will see that....

You clearly miss the whole point of this. They've said the Asian press will be heavilly represented today and the event is for their benefit, not ours. By doing this it will be in the papers and media outlets over there and the name QPR will be all over the place. Good for us, good for Air Asia and good for the start of the brand push proper.

"Marquee signing" is relative, like that hoary old term "big club". Park wouldn't be a marquee signing for Man City, but we aren't Man City. If West Ham were to sign Jamie Mackie that wd be a marquee signing for them. All depends on your station in life.

park will be a good signing provided that he can stay fit - fantastic work-rate and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time in manure's big games.

not sure what to make of this, is it steve kean playing more of his incredibly effective mind games or (more likely) evidence that hoilett's long term future is still a bit more up in the air than we'd hope for?

I'm starting to feel a massive anti climax is around the corner ... the signing of Diakate personally was more exciting than the signing of Park ... even Barton at the time.

The club knew us fans would think we about to hear about a new stadium, now its next 2 months etc.

We've been here before with 'big announcements' under the old regime I just hope the club have got it right this time.

I don't think Park will even start for us that often, or at all! If played on the right, then SWP or Mackie will start over him. Park will be an amazing impact sub though.

If Hoilett signs however, either SWP or Mackie will be off I reckon...unless Hughes wants to keep Mackie as a backup striker.

Have seen some things in my time but this is the best! Mackie over Park in the team?! You do know he was around 8 weeks ago he was in the starting 11 for Ferguson in the biggest game Man Utd had for years ( Man City ) Am sure Ferguson was saying at the time he wished Mackie was a Utd player so he could play instead!
