what Richard said. I'm not having a go at you in particular Michael, you're far from the worst recent example, but in this case it really is very easy to name the source: 'poster X on f365 says xyx'

totally different from some lawyer/agent/player/etc giving you a cheeky bit of info that you aren't supposed to pass on and obviously cant put a name to. But your post gave the impression that the source could have been the latter.

I heard that a bright yellow circle was seen over the uk for 34 seconds this week,wouldnt like to speculate at what it could be where or whom my source is.

All we really care about is signing good players. I like the rumours but know they don't always come off. At least I'm not saying Junior is on the bus !!

my mate might say to me Fred Bloggs would do a good job for us and we should go for him. Then I come on here and say 'I'm hearing we should go in for Fred Bloggs'. Then it starts a whole conversation about the merits of signing him and all of a sudden he's a target! Nothing to back it up whatsoever.

This is exactly what happens. A feedback loop.

WATRB is particularly bad for this, though not as bad as at the height of FSP and Paliadini's 'rumours'.

People read rumours online, the same rumours that the rest of us are reading (twitter, forums, newspapers etc). They then come online and say 'I'm hearing that we're in for X'. Then their mate reads the same stuff and tries to pass himself off as ITK in the pub, bloke from the pub then goes back online 'yeah I've heard the same rumours too, seems to be gathering pace' etc etc. Before you know it a few stupid forum posts rise up on a mountain of ******** to become fully-fledged CHED IS ON THE BUS moments

Why so angry mate? I saw it on F365 and passed it on because i thought others may not not have seen it. Don't give a s**t about being ITK and never claimed to be. I didn't know it was necessary to give you the birth certificate of the person making the claim!!! Have heard about Hoilet from elsewhere now and am confident he has/is about to sign.
