I suspect Cook's contract being up in Summer and his £30K wages then being off the books are a big part of the finances, it wouldn't surprise me if Ronnie was on a bit less and next season our wage bill would see a net drop.Originally posted by shaggy24 View Post
If we going to get Ronnie varane probably needs to go to balance books up
we’ve got Hayden Morgan vale and mbengue can play cm

A 35 year old Cook who's legs have gone, but has been very good for us is now not even fit to lace JCS boots. Shame we can't get him fit because him and Ronnie would be a premier league partnership in the waiting shagsOriginally posted by shaggy24 View Post

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Good bit of business if we can con some other club into paying him for being in their sickbay most of the time but surely there can't be any club that daft (aside from us of course).Originally posted by FurtiveFox View PostMorrison apparently could be going out on loan. Personally not sure we have quite enough bodies for that but a decent run of games between now and end of season could do him world of good and perhaps us longer term. Looked decent enough last season but not kicked on from that.

We could offer 2 for 1 with jcs both unable to stay fit for spell of gamesOriginally posted by Abseits View Post

WLS saying we have turned down a bid by St Etienne for Jonathan Varane - A loan with a buy clause of 5.2 Mil but dependant on them getting promoted.
Right to turn that down i think. There are other clubs interested in him.
I think he will go this window and the club were banking on that when they forked out for Ronnie edwards

Certainly wouldn't let him go out on loan for the rest of the season. If we make anywhere up from ~7m I think that's a sensible bit of business.Originally posted by 3London View PostWLS saying we have turned down a bid by St Etienne for Jonathan Varane - A loan with a buy clause of 5.2 Mil but dependant on them getting promoted.

I like Varane, but he has his moments and it's those moments where i'd prefer Hayden started. No nonsense DM role.
On that, I thought Hayden did a mega job on Sunday.
