Newcastle in talks with Scotland Winger

According to sources Newcastle are in talks to sign QPR winger Matt Phillips.

The 24 year old is believed to be wanted by Newcastle as a replacement for Gabriel Obertan.

The 6ft 1in winger has scored 5 goals in 42 games for QPR.

Talks are on going between the clubs for an undisclosed fee.

I understand if the club sell matty but we must get a high fee. This is a player who has 2 years left on his deal I believe and imo still owes us more than Charlie due to injuries and Ramsey reigniting his career.

He's worth 7/8 mill but that price should be inflated due to a unwillingness to sell from our part.
