It's amusing watching people like Maidstone Hoop proudly boast that Rio averages 31 games a season. Then when I say I look forward to seeing him do likewise for QPR, most of you go mental. I found some reactions hilarious. Well OTT.

Remember, it wasn't me who said he'd play 30 games, it was Maidstone Hoop who said Rio averages 31 games a season in support of a comment from Del. All I did was suggest we could expect similar, if of course he's as fit as some on here say he is.

And as I've said for the umpteenth time, I hope we get a lot of good performances out of him, but I remain doubtful. I refuse to be forced into your Rio love-in
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

People only refer to it because for countless posts you've been harping on about doubting we'd get 30 games out of him because he's got such a "bad injury record" and suggesting he wouldnt be a worthwhile signing if he was incapable of 30 games. The couter argument is there's no pre-requisite that a player needs to do 30 games so it really isnt an issue.

All I done was take his appearances from the last 6 years and work out the average mate. I didnt say we should all expect expect 30 games from him I just said thats what he has averaged. I'll be more than happy with 20 top quality games from rio and wont bother me in the slightest if he doesnt make 30 odd games which I wouldnt rule out, I just wont expect that from him.

I'd bet most of the ones we actually win.

To the idiots saying Rio wasn't fit & he played x amount of games last year. Here's a little quote from Harry Redknapp you might want to take note of.

“I spoke to Ryan Giggs to ask how much training he was doing and how fit he was and Ryan told me that, if he’d been manager at Old Trafford this season, he would’ve still been his No.1 centre-half.
“Rio was fit all last season, David Moyes changed the team around and didn’t pick him.”

To be fair how many clubs has Ryan Giggs managed and Rio's his friend, he would say that.

I think the Rio signing could bring in one or two other good players.
