I personally don't agree with this signing but now its done I will support him and cheer him on.
Just hope he gives 100%
Thats the spirit mate, now he's QPR we all got to back him and hope that he does bring a bit of class to the club. I honestly think we will at least get the right attitude from him which is a lot better than the other over priced over aged player we had brought previously. I also think he's a different animal, he still a very able footballer. Heres to signing the prilo of defender
Rio Ferdinand has reached an official agreement with Queens Park Rangers. He joins the club after spending the previous 12 years with Manchester United.
IMO, he's way past his best, has a significant injury record, .
Still banging the same tune.....
He's past his best because he's 35. His best was lightyears away from QPR standard, his current ability is better than we have. That should be sufficient for you on that part.
AS for his "significant injury record" why don't you elaborate on the detail, because other then the well publicised back issue 5 years ago, the fact he's played 30 games on average for years since then, would contradict your constant obsession that he's so injury prone. Players do get injuries, and id argue players at the top level are more likely to as play far more games and more regularly. On top of that, top players will be wanted and possibly rushed back from niggles more than squad players, which again can have knock on effects.
Charlie Austin missed about a quarter of our season last year and is 25...... shall we ship him out now because he must have a significant injury record by your logic......???
