Just let him deal with his personal issues in a private way, like we would all like to deal with it if we were in his situation, not by speculating and making rumours in the stands and on message boards. Give him time to recover from whatever it is, he'll be worth it in the end.

I heard that Diakite is depressed because he spent a week reading this messageboard.

Wow. If this is genuinely as bad as a lot of people are making out then... I don't know what. Sincerely hope the guy's alright.

Wouldn't be suprised if after Swansea hughes told him he has 3 weeks to sort things out. Spend some time at home with the family or something. He's a big asset to the club so they'll be attempting to get him the finest medical treatment possible. Playing premiership football is a pretty substantial Raison D'etre, so i'm hopeful we'll see him at chelsea.

                There were warning signs:

                "Nedum Onuoha ‏@NOnuoha
To all those that care. I'm sharing with Samba Diakite. He has had call me maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen on repeat for three days."

Seriously though I hope whatever's wrong he's feeling better soon. My favourite of our new signings not just because he has the potential to be a cracking player but because he seems to be a bit of a character as well. Will always treasure that debut where he set about cutting down everything in sight.

Depresson is a serious mental illness that is hard to treat, what confuses me is the issue of when this started, did he become depressed after he joined us or was it there before hand?

Whats he gotta to be depressed about he is a multi million pound footballer, sorry don't but this ******** from hammersmithr who notably enjoys a scaremongering story following an away day.

If any truth I'd terminate his contract , take back his signing on fee and have Nancy investigated to see if they withheld any information when we bought him.

Sorry mate but that is an extremely ignorant comment. Clinical depression is an illness just like any other and has **** all to do with your bank balance.

I am simply relaying what I was told. Whether it is true, I don't know. He certainly had some issues last season, but we still committed to buying him in the summer. And now these issues have raised their head again? Should we as a club have done that? Did the club give him a proper medical? I don't know. It's all rather sad as he has the potential to be a top player for us. I have no idea what his exact issues are, but it could be family issues? Can they move over to London? Civil war in his own country?

I hope he gets the help that he needs and we see him back playing for us.

Thank god you're not manager. You clearly have no knowledge of depression if you think there always has to be a reason to be depressed (can be primary or secondary). Either way how do you know that something hasn't happened to a family member etc.

Basically what you're saying is that as soon as someone has personal problems we shouldn't support them we should sack them. Laughable. Not that it's particularly important but he's also one of our best players. Has showed signs he could turn into a top class player.
