Whatever his personal issues are, of course like any Rangers fans wants it to be sorted as soon as possible.

Looking at it from a squad perspective. Hughes will have to name a 25 man squad this week. Can he include someone who might not be available for many of the games?

Depression is something that cannot be helped overnight. It has no time frame.
But if WHAT was true???? Grrr...

If depression he needs proper help - support, therapy and maybe medication. If the cause is something regarding someone in his family and he hasn`t had these/or other kinds of mental problems before - there`s a big chance that we`ll see him on the pitch sooner rather than later.

Basically what you're saying is that as soon as someone has personal problems we shouldn't support them we should sack them. Laughable. Not that it's particularly important but he's also one of our best players. Has showed signs he could turn into a top class player.

            The title of the thread

Diakite- will he play for us again?

Suggests that this a long term problem so have a word with the OP for his dramatic writing skills. If the personal issues are short term then off course the club should be offering support but that's not what the OP is suggesting. Long term mental health issues basically means we've signed a peanut and serious questions need to be asked and based on that assumption I stand by what I state.

Anyway how do you know I have no knowledge of depression? I've had terrible personal issues to deal with the past year which are still ongoing but I just get on with it, those close to me the same...we all have stories we can tell! Bet Adebyor can give a good account after watching his friends gunned own in Africa or Defoe who lost his Dad but found the strength to carrying on this summer.

As said short term we should be offering support club and fans but the OP suggests that this is the end of his career and we've just spunked £3.5 million on him.

I think everyone has just been trying to understand it. Eight pages in and you still haven't actually told us what you were told. weird.

Just backing up my (and many other poster's points). Depression can be primary or secondary. Often people have no reason to feel like they do. Everyone feels down after a death etc. It is easier to rationalise with this and with time the person will often feel better. Some people however have deepset chemical problems affecting mood, with often no trigger. I'm sorry but your posts are extremely naive.

Was gonna post this earlier mate . Gary speed is a prime example of what a disgusting illness depression can be . The positive being samba ( if it's what he's suffering from) is not alone and has the full support of the club, he's proved himself a good player so let's get behind him and support him as a fan base as well

                                I CAN

I can understand knocker for not telling us his source,if someone has said something in confidence then you should not put your source on the message board

why would knocker being a qpr fanatic say anything that is derogative to queens park rangers football club

so I believe knocker but im still hopefull that this depression becomes just a temporary thing
