    QPR may well have told Dawson to think over the offer over the weekend, hence he goes back to Spurs.

    Sky sports news reports nothing if the sort and AVB saying in it he has enough defensive cover to allow Dawson to speak to QPR over a potential move. No mention of the move being off, or stalling or any of the sort, sounds to me as though he is being encouraged to leave if anything.

    I'm not too bothered if we miss out on Dawson as had reservations, not only on the reported fee, but the fact he's been out a full season and nobody's seen him play competitively since the injury... for all we know he's not the same player he was and we could've spent £9m on a dud! If he'd played half a season and appeared fine, then no issue, but it would've been a massive gamble imo.

    Only a week to go until the end if the window - hughes needs to get the tactics spot on for Saturday - exactly as we did at everton last season - the mood will pick up dramatically should we pick up a result

    We were unbelievably gun ho v swansea - very surprising given Hughes defensive reputation - certain you won't see us picked off like that again
