Not surprised but disappointed nevertheless. It was nice to think for a while that we were getting a player of Dawsons calibre.

Very good point. Only problem is, who ever we sign will be compared to Dawson and, if we sign someone who makes a shaky start all we will ever hear is that the Board should have spent the money on him :angry:

Not really after hearing TF on TS earlier today, as he kinda linked that the deal was not done, huge players wages and sensible owners, when he was speaking.

Personally I'd prefer good centre backs.

However, looking at that AVB interview, surely Dawson must know he's not wanted by the Spurs manager. Dawson could spend the season next to Defoe on the bench.

I've never believed the £9M figure plucked out of the sky by a TV station that told us this and about 3 other deals were all done a few days ago (that's for Sky by the way)

funny that now the Dawson deal seems to be off, all of sudden some are saying that 9m and his high wages are suddenly deemed to be too much and could do better etc......if the deal was still on, doubt this would have been seen as an issue.

i was questioning this the moment news broke of a 9mil offer. did not want him for that price and i still dont want him now.
