To be fair, he changed half the team because half the team isn't fit to play 90 minutes.

For every club like Watford that change managers and it don’t work there are teams like Norwich WBA and Southampton where it has worked.
Im not so sure fans saying stick with Stéphan would actually do that if they were burning through £2m a month to have any season like this one.

I cannot see the point in changing for another "unproven" European manager. It's just another reset, rinse, repeat cycle. With the manager having to learn far too much and having to adjust to Championship football. We either go with a proven Championship manager or we stick with JS.

Hardly any clubs break even in any league now , most clubs in Championship are losing money unless you get a good player to sell for big money. Best way to break even is getting to premier league and taking the big money. No chance of breaking even with our model.Originally posted by SheepRanger View Post
Ambition to breakeven over a three year cycle and sell up at a higher price than we're worth now I reckon.

JS will know what's missing in this team, and it will all depend on the comings and goings in the summer. A lot of players will have had coaching to help them improve and clearly aren't good enough to be in a top 6/8 side. Those that have peaked and not good enough, and the weak, will likely be on their way out and new "potential" will replace them.
I think the Board would like promotion but a bigger priority is balancing the books as best we can. That's very sensible considering Wolves/Burnley and West Ham/Spurs will dominate the Championship next season. And then thow in the other big hitters in this league. It will be too big a task to get out of for a small budget club like ours next season.
JS is aligned with the blooding on young players, so I dount the club feel the need to change managers, even if they want to throw a huge slice of our transfer budget at changing personnel.
I think JS will start the season after a busy transfer window.

IMO to be a top 6 club in this league you need to be on it week in week out, we have the opportunity all too often for top 6 or top 2 spots and we lack the drive to see it through and put in god awful performances
only Warnock had the ability to turn the ethos of the club around forget redknapp he picked up off Warnock momentum after Hughes was a fk up
We need a fitness team overhaul to many players out for far too long and some simply not good enough mid table is our level we’ll win some and lose more
will he go I doubt it

I hope he’s learnt from mistakes he’s made but needs players in who have more physicality - eg the trend to fouling being allowed at corners doesn’t suit the goalies and players we have. We’ve also missed playing Jimmy at right back as he was instrumental in many goals last season. I’m confident the club know this and will try and sort it out.

I think we'll replace him this Summer. He's not improving young players and not following our playing style.
Kolli and Morgan, last seasons young prospects haven't pushed on this season. They've gone backwards.
Switched to 4 4 2. Should be 4 2 3 1.

You make a good point there..... My stance has always been that the buck stops with the manager - he's the one tasked with getting the best out of what's available to him. But, maybe that's overlooking how much input and direction is coming down from Nourry though. But, at the end of the day, I can't see how anybody other than JS can take responsibility for our wildly inconsistent performance levels, not just from game to game, but even within individual matches.Originally posted by daveshads View PostI think the relationship between Christian and his (any) manager is key. Actually I don’t believe it matters very much who is our manager whilst Christian is there. If they are yes men, they keep their job and “project QPR” continues, at the expense of success.
If they are not yes men, don’t take the job! You will be irrelevant.
Ours is not a normal club.
They both definitely need to go in my opinion.
Overall I'm not getting much sense of a groundswell of opinion backing JS or claiming he's got a notable talent, the only support for keeping him seems to derive from the idea that changing managers willy-nilly doesn't achieve anything.

Find him dry uninspiring His pre and post match interviews are all bland and the same thing all the time, not sure he could inspire a dog to go for a walk, his substitutions are baffling at time especially yesterday. Not sure if he should go, who do you get it certainly wouldn’t be money bags who just let the scum. Not sure we done the right thing getting rid of Marti , so unless Ariola fancies the job we may have to stick with Julien, not sure there’s been an improvement in the team but more points than the last 3 years so I suppose you could say we’re better. But don’t think so

We’ve taken a wrong turning. When Lee took over as Chairman and Christian took over as CEO. Christian’s’ skills were (apparently) in analytical and advisory matters. This somewhat cerebral approach to the gnarly world of The Championship, is rather unlikely to see any meaningful success on the pitch. Why would it?
JS role in things is at best borderline. But I think any manager might struggle given what he is confronted with.

I just don`t understand why he sets up a midfield that only knows how to play attack. In that respect the bucks stop with him doesnt it? It has been that way even before our injuries and it never stops...It seems like.

It’s absolutely ridiculous to suggest changing the manager again.Originally posted by 72bus View PostGet rid for me , doesn't know his best team .
Yesterday changing half the team showed this .
He was suited up yday must of had a date after the game
the fact that he hasn’t had a full squad to chose from for most of the season- the best run we had was when we had a fit squad.
changing the manager every few months does nothing - look at the likes of Watford how well has that worked for them.
this year has been such fine margins you could almost say 2 games - Wrexham home and yesterday- there are 6 points gifted to the opposition- which would have given us a league position that may have meant we had have a season where we have moved forward.
if anyone needs to go it’s the entire fitness team - their inability to keep players fit or strengthen them has had a massive impact on us.
and maybe the ground staff the pitch over the winter was shocking and definitely contributed to our injuries.
Give JS another preseason and transfer window and then let’s see where we are.
