Most of the successful ones, for sure.

Thin, thin line between ego and self-confidence, self-worth and self-esteem. A line often drawn by an observer.

Just as well there are humble folks behind the scenes.

Some noise about Newcastle's number 2 which has been shut down by Eddie, meaning it's probably been sounded out...

Honestly, While I think the club should make the right call here, and i's only been a little over a week, the rumours started a month ago, and I find the silence deafening. Largely because I'm impatient.

I guess they can't say much about Marti because whatever they do say, could cost us money in compo, or hurt his chances of moving on, or coming back into the fold. In the same breath they can't really say much about who might be coming in or if they are even looking.

      Lame.

I'd look for U23 coach at leading premier league club. Several reasons.

            1. They've seen top managers up close. Hopefully picked up good habits.
            2. Experience developing young players.
            3. Contacts at club they're leaving. Decent season loan.

I think we have to take risk of first management job.

Betsy is former Arsenal u23's manager and ticks all 3 of your boxes. His risk is minimised due to his familiarity with the players and set-up here.

I think we can do better than him in the long run but I still think he's a very safe pair of hands in the interim and gives the club a bit of time to make sure we get the right guy even if it takes several months.

BTW, he's 47 years old, fresh faced blighter barely looks 30!

                The right guy......?

A forward thinking CEO like CN will obviously appoint Eni Aluko as our new manager.

Anything 'exciting' we do will be a risk.

I'd rather take a risk than a known quantity where we are destined for meh.

Ex Lyon manager Pierre Sage being mentioned now.

Pierre Sage has been linked with the QPR role and has already shared a desire to be working in the Championship next season.

I wonder when we’ll have an update on the Cifuentes situation. I have a feeling it could drag on and on which won’t be helpful for anyone!

I don't think we will for a while because they'd be shooting themselves in the foot by saying anything.

                        3 choices surely;
Wait for him get another job
                        Give him his job back
Sack him and pay him off

Again imo, Miron Muslic is what this club need. He wants a project where he can work well together with a recruitment staff. Allegedly, Plymouth can`t deliver on that front atm...

I think if anything is certain, it's that the next manager will not be currently employed by another club, IE we won't be poaching anyone. They'll be currently out of work.

I really don't get it with this guy. Okay, he was assistant manager at Red Star Belgrade but then when to Lyon Academy! He was then Lyon Manager for one year after acting as caretaker and was then sacked. He doesn't even have a professional footballer background.....yes not essential, but his managerial career isn't that spectacular and no background in English football. It seems right place & time at Lyon, got found out and was given the boot. I'm sure the bookies are happy to give him short odds to make out there's something in it and then rake the cash in on a no-hoper.

I genuinely think there are better options out there who have more experience and knowledge of the championship.

This is the truth for any rational fans perspective. But if you read the loftforwords site that Clive Whittingham has been what the kids now refer to as a "crashing out", which has been slowly going on ever since Nourry stopped his annual interview with the manager

He has now turned into a conspiracy theorist. If you posted something sensible like this over on his site he and his groupies over there would literally accuse you of being part of a paid PR campaign funded by Nourry out of the clubs budget

                                Hope Nourry paid you well!!
