Latest odds what i saw just a moment ago was Sage still favourite, OŽNeil and Wellens next. Tom Cleverley 4th and Rooney still 5th favourite. Muslic has dropped outside top 10 again. DonŽt really know does these odds mean anything, but still interesting to follow them.

We've got idiots on here that would take Rooney and Cleverley over Marti we have such an odd fan base
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

It depends I suppose if it's Colleen or Wayne on offer.

There have been frustrations with his style of play, but deep down I'm sure everyone is well aware of the size of the squad and the injuries we've had that may have contributed to this cautious approach. We've also blooded some very inexperienced players.

Frustrations aside, there were no calls for Marti to be sacked and the situation we're in is of Marti's making, not the fans. He was aware of the structure he had to work within when he initially signed and subsequently extended his stay. Its him who has been talking behind the club's back.

If Marti has outgrown us then he should resign.

Marti is not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!

BTW, he's 47 years old, fresh faced blighter barely looks 30!
Been away from U23 football for couple of years. Not for me.

We need to take risks. Next season will be tough. We can't compete on money, need inspirational manager.

Most likely itŽs have to be someone out of job, then donŽt need to pay a compensation. OŽNeil is out of job,but at least 2-3 Championship clubs which can pay him more than us are interested. If itŽs someone from other club, then i think we should try Wellens from Leyton Orient. Has done good job there for few years and has won couple of promotions and JPT Trophy or whatever that competion name is too. Compensation should be something we can afford, of course if they get promoted itŽs get tricky. But i still think itŽs some name outside UK, maybe Sage.

There have been a fair few grumblings about Marti's style of play.

We still do not know 100% what went on, if Marti gave the nod for his agent to talk with West Brom or not, of course that's what we're told.

To me, an agent coming to Marti saying 'hey West Brom are keen, want to hear what they have to say?' is very different to Marti saying 'I need out, go find me another club' is also agin nuanced with 'i like it here but i want Nourry to sweat, go stir the pot for some bargaining because i can't be dealing with ### for another season'

Not that we'll ever find out in reality.

And you would be entirely justified, strikes would and should ensue.

For any hate CN may recieve, I am certain he is not that dumb.

Know next to nothing about Sage other than he had a year or so in charge of Lyon. Needs to take a step down to rebuild his career so we would seem a natural fit but not convinced from our side. Little management experience and and none in England. At least with Marti he had been managing in different leagues for many years and had some coaching experience over here.

Gary O'Neill would be a good choice and suspect he may be up for it. There are lots of jobs at this level at present so on paper he could maybe go in a little further up the food chain. However we have a fair amount in our favour and would give him an opportunity to build something.

Wayne Rooney - how many clubs at this level does he have to send careering towards L1 before he stops getting linked with jobs? Only one he got any kudos at all for he had Liam Rosenior at his side and even then he nearly managed to take them down from a position of safety in his first season.

Wellens - done well at Orient and middle to lower Championship job would be logical next step for both him and club concerned.

Read a few weeks ago Steven Gerrard looking at trying to get Championship job. Can't seem him coming to us albeit Lampard went to Coventry so who knows. Flopped at Villa but did well at Rangers and comes across as far more credible than someone like Rooney. Is fairly high in betting odds.

Muslic - like look of him and came close to rescuing Plymouth.

Like Russell Martin but looks favourite for Leicester. Awful start to season with Southampton but prior to that very well thought of.

If we want old school Cooper. Question though is do we want old school? Not sure that would be best fit for us.

Can't see Rooney coming and and tbh can't see our fan base accepting him either CN can't be that daft

Sage a gamble imo could pay off could go #### up too

O'Neill sensible knows club albeit from times of complete financial debacle

Gerrard could be stroke of genius or calamity may dig us up a gem on loan from contacts and would help his CV if he did well at our gaff similar to Lampard down fantastic job at Coventry yep we all know Robbins did the bulk but he's turned them and his career around.

Or left field Mowbray just gets on with the job ?

I wouldn't be sad at Gerrard, i'd rather Carrick, he's the only one of that era that i think will go on to better things.

We know very little about Sage, he's odds on, there must be something there, i do trust Nourry to make a considered decision on this and i think it's the right way for the club to go.

O'Neil just doesn't excite me, he'll be forever a gem for that tackle / foul, be happier than this than with Gerrard.

Of all the homegrown candidates spoken of i'd really like Wellens and Clint. Not for nostalgia, i just reckon he's ready to take a step up, he's proven he's got what it takes to get a team playing together and striving for a goal, and we know Clint. Other than that let's take a punt on the Frenchy, could be a gem never know.

See Warnock also fairly high in odds. Let the poor bloke retire! If he was a decade or two younger would love him back but at this rate he will be in the running at 100.

Used to work with a guy who was in his 80s and minted. Asked why he didn't just retire and his reply was that if he retired his wife would expect him to help with the housework. Maybe Warnock really doesn't like the hoover.

There is a very little information about Sage to find, but he has a 3rd highest winning percentage of the Lyon coaches who had coached over 50 games.
