What protest ? Serious question what could anyone possibly protest about .. we as a club are where we deserve to be . Where does our fans think we should be in the champions league fighting Man City for the league . We have to accept where we are in hindsight we all would love a chairman that pours loads and loads of money in etc look where that got us with Fernandes !! We will win and we will loose will get relegated / promoted.. we will have good managers and good players .. we will also have rubbish managers and players.. part and parcel of every club at some point . We need to take the rough with the smooth. The people need who want to protest need to get a life and grip and grow up .

      • Are you happy to pay and watch the likes of Tyler Roberts stroll around take a wage without breaking sweat? Watch headless chickens like George Thomas run around laughing like they think it's funny how sh1t you can be and still be paid by this club. The fans will put up with fight and spirit but not half arsed fairies or lads taking a wage without contributing anything to this club.

The fans know we won't ever win f all. No one expects promotion to the prem. I'm happy staying in this league. Just be nice if we had people running the club who actually know what they are doing. We have no money. It doesn't mean we should sign prima donnas from the prem. They aren't what we need. It doesn't cost a lot to get a decent side out there. Just smart recruitment. Does anyone trust les ferdinand to sort this out? It's his job to. Time will tell.

Spot on none of us want players that don’t fight or have heart . The players that have come in don’t have that . That falls with the recruiting. That’s not something we can protest about . We was in the playoffs all season untill about February ish . That’s 3 quarters of the season . And this season we was flying and top of the league and singing .. the Rs are going up and now you got to believe us etc . Yes we are struggling again that’s down to the management and players they both got to take blame . If we went down and struggled then that’s when I believe we protest . My opinion if these owners walk away we are bang in trouble . And won’t have a club to watch and we all we be cutting the grass and going food shopping with the mrs on a Saturday. Better the devil you know

No one will want to come to us .. players only come for either the manager at the club or loads of money . I personally don’t think NC has the pull to get any decent players .. remember this is the guy who jumped ship from Blackpool manager to being a coach at villa .. says it all

                • Thomas and Nico likely to leave today. New signings unlikely.

                  • I’d be glad they’re gone, but with injuries to Balogun and Amos still (no surprises there!), then the additional injuries and hospitalisation at the weekend of Laird, Paal, Chair, Roberts and Dykes…added to the fact the manager seems reluctant to pick Richard’s and Armstrong…then the likes of Dozzell, Kakay and Uncle simply aren’t good enough at this level…leaves us rather threadbare to pick from don’t you think?

                      Very threadbare.

We have freed up wages for Bonne, Thomas and Nico and some going out on loan. If the Board bank this money to reduce costs without bringing in a new CF then that tells a massive story about the finances. Hopefully we'll limp over the line but where are the goals coming from?

                      • Club with no ambition just letting it drift further down the league towards div 1 if not this season most certainly next season.
looks like no incomings to cover the huge amount of injuries.

                        • Matt Smith (Central Mid) might be on as Arsenal look set to sign Jorginho from Chelsea.

Might help the defensive side but goals goals goals?

I am not sure this will have banked much money - we probably had to pay them off. Agree that injuries are huting us badly with few players having been fit for most of the season. In midfield Amos and Stef probably would have been starters if fit, especially last week. Tim has been good, but needs a rest, and his youthful inexperience sometimes catches him out. Sam also probably needs a rest. Tyler is too inconsistent and injury prone. Both Dickie and Dunn for some reason have started to make too many errors (time to go to back three?). There was too much reliance on Chair and Willock and with the latter losing form and injury prone, the pressure on Chair is telling. Backup players such as Kakay, even Dozell, Adomah, Hamaleinen and all of those out on loan, are simply not good enough. Losing Dykes is the last straw - we now don't have anyone to hold the ball with their back to goal to link up play. As for Ashley Richards, who? Don't know what is going on with him. Armstrong is only good enough for impact sub at moment and badly needs loaning out to develop further.

                            • Looks like Hamalianan might be off to Belgium, whilst Thomas looks set to be released.

You would hope that frees up the wages to get a CF in, but knowing the club, we probably will end up with a Midfielder.

Its those at boardroom level that decided to give Bonne, Thomas and especially Nico deals and paid for Bonne on top of the £M splashed out for Bonne Washington Dozzell as well that have made purse strings tighter than needed to be. Now everyone makes mistakes but the recruitment by people in football lets just say has been poor given that Eze was signed and picked up by Holloway.
