Just watched his interview on the offish and interesting that he says he and the Board are together in the style of play and they want to change it to an intense style when in and out of possession. That will surely need a bigger squad to cope with injuries.....or have I been listening to much to Aarbs about "players loadings"

I had never heard of him either, but his CV as a coach is very impressive. As someone with connections to Liverpool Villa and previously, Chelsea, perhaps we can expect some impressive loanees or those released , like Swift from the latter to join us this summer. Better them than the likes of previous loans such as Smith, Clarke, the striker from Brighton and Sanderson or although not too bad, McCallum.Originally posted by Abseits View PostNever heard of him. Having now looked at his career/CV he does look a compelling and progressive choice. I'm therefore minded to think Lee/Les have done well: they've ignored any noise and histrionics and quietly landed their man just a few weeks after season ended.
Presumably he does not come with an entourage and our existing coaching/backroom staff will remain in place?
Also better standard of released players than the ones we have been getting from Spurs.

He seems to want to build on QPRs possession football by adopting a higher line front foot style, perhaps similar to that of Liverpool. Obviously they have far better players than us, but with some additions to our squad maybe we can be the Championship’s version. Ok I know, fantasyland again.Originally posted by SheepRanger View PostJust watched his interview on the offish and interesting that he says he and the Board are together in the style of play and they want to change it to an intense style when in and out of possession. Perhaps Warburton wasn’t very good at improving their fitness levels. Look at how Bielsa transformed his Leeds squad with his intensive training sessions.

Reading a villa site one poster says who can blame him taking the job at the club he supports.
I thought he would have said he was an R if he was ever.
He did say he used to come and watch Les playing mind, so don't know.
Not that it matters of course.
Charlton Athletic fan I'd guess looking at his twitta page......

I thought he came across very well in interview on Rs site, seems to be level headed wants to play in a style as fans we’d appreciate a high press to me means the much needed pace will come from new signings especially up front
learned his trade all over the world including Brazil so he’s no mug.

Are you serious? You gotta be taking the pee surely???Originally posted by QPRDave View PostGoes without saying, hope he has a successful time and is with us beyond the initial 3 years.
But, as they say in Life of Brian, he's not the messiah.
Just give him time there is work to get done with the players, but not as much as warbs had.
He has left us in a far better team than when he arrived so we can all be optimistic.
The team Warburton has left behind is a pile of dung compared to the one he walked into - he has set us back by years and left Beale a massive task to sort out.
Below on the left is typical staring XI and sundry subs Warburton had Aug/Sep 2019. On the right is what Beale has today as far as I can tell and subject to some ongoing contract discussions......
LUMLEY DIENG
MANNING ODUBAJO
BARBET DUNNE
HALL DICKIE
CAMERON DEWIJS
KANE KAKAY
AMOS AMOS
EZE WILLOCK
CHAIR CHAIR
BOS JOHANSEN
HUGILL DYKES
WELLS BONNE
RANGEL FIELD
LEISTNER SHODIPO
BALL ADOMAH
PUGH DOZZELL
It's always gonna be subjective but c'mon, there's no way on earth that lot on the right constitutes an improved or better team. Warburton inherited a decent, balanced team that had a solid bunch of defenders, good creativity, decent width and potent strikers. He's left us with a disjointed unbalanced team with an iffy defence, no width and powder puff up front. Beale has a massive job to get a tune out of that lot - hopefully Lee/Les will sort out some incomings to make the task easier.
I look at the team Warbuton had in 2019/2020 and it's disgraceful he could only steer them to 58pts and 13th - he should've have been shown the door at the end of that season.

Apparently Michael Beale is after Kevin Thomson, He was head coach at Kelty Hearts and got them promoted as champions there last season and recently left them, and Beale knows him incredibly well.
Looks like Kevin Thompson could be the assistant head coach, this does indicate we will most likely see John Eustace and Neil Banfield depart.
