Not the same as Deeney though is it? I think Gray still has a year on his Watford contract but Deeney was a free agent. Happy to be corrected though.

If he's not in their plans he must have received a hefty pay off to agree to the release, to then make him affordable to Championship clubs. Surely other clubs will have deeper pockets than us on a permi signing?
