QPR's reported interest in Paul Huntington has been dealt a blow with the news that Preston are not interested in selling the defender.

According to the Lancashire Evening Post, the 30-year-old was a reported target for the Hoops who were planning a £1million offer for the former Newcastle man.


However, it's been revealed that Preston have had no contact from Loftus Road regarding a move, with the club in fact opening talks regarding a new deal for the defender.

The news will come as a blow, with Huntington perfectly fitting the bill of what is required in W12 this summer.
