All we ask as Rangers supporters is a bit of entertainment with a win or two and a bit of skill thrown in for good measure. Our early promise is just that and looks like a tough old winter lies ahead. Not sure either manager would be my choice and there in lies the problem at the whole club. Wrong recruitment on and off the field from Redknapp going has killed the club.

And there lies the problem it’s not entertaing neither do we win so not great combination in all honesty

On other post mate no yesterday, speaking personally, was not entertaining it was rather drab. Yes we had few shots but none of them looked like going in or got you off your seat they were all weak efforts. Lots of shots does not necessarily mean entertainment you could take 100 shots from hallwayline which keeper catches that’s not entertaining

The football under JFH was s hite the football under Ollie (although some try to convince themselves otherwise) remains s hite just marginally less s hite then what went before. Would rather in all honesty not watch s hite from either but accept it is what it is but if your going serve s hite up at least throw a win in here and there to make it slightly bearable

I'm the same mate. Will stomach football that isn't the easiest on the eye, as long as we can find a way to win. No point trying to play champagne football if you are leaking goals and your strikers can't find a way to score.

I think Ollie is doing slightly better in terms of a win ratio, but I think Jimmy picked up a few more points per game as a result of a load of boring draws. Calibre of football under both managers has been mostly dire.

What I will say is that JFH had a far larger operating budget than Ollie has had this last year. Ollie deserves credit for being able to put together a half decent squad on a shoe string!

Just saw the brief highlights and amazed with you being there you find theres no entertainment westy! so youd rather have jimmys style hardly ever attacking? and we are dominating games and just not finishing chances & that will change, but also with dominating and creating plenty we arent losing loads either! & the ones we have lost we have been unlucky in aswell as some draws we should of won!

If hes actually a striker we really will lose the mini league.

I just don't see any point in posting BS about us "being a work in progress" or needing to give the manager time. Have a look at Ollie's record, particularly in the last 10 years. His win ratio is typically around 30%, he's typically been disliked by the majority of fans at whatever club he's been at, and his teams have been prone to going on good runs, often followed by terrible runs.

What I'm saying is that what we are seeing is just what you can expect when you hire Ollie. This situation is unlikely to drastically improve or worsen, aside from runs of good and bad form. There is zero point kidding ourselves that there is some kind of master plan, and we are working towards domination of this league, cos it simply isn't true. What we are seeing now is exactly what we should have expected when Ollie was given the job. I knew that, as did a few others on here, hence we were vocal about it being a poor appointment.

Well he picks the strikers pinks not me. If strikers keep missing chances don’t select them but he keeps selecting Mackie who missed two sitters yesterday so for me that managers fault. For three months people have been saying Sylla only finisher at club he starts and he scored. It’s not rocket science it’s actually quite simple but the boss is making it hard via his choices

Teams alright, hes built a good squad, just missing someone to take our chances or we would be play off contenders imo.
We are near on always one goal away from more points.
    Lets pray for january.

Why doesn't Wheeler get a look in? Scored on his debut then just been dropped ever since? Mackie can do one had enough of the geeza tbh

Pinks, this ain't my opinion. It's fact. His win ratio with us is 31%. His win ratio since 2007 is pretty much dead on 30%.

He did well at Blackpool, that's plain to see. He went on an amazing run with Palace in their promotion season, but I know a few Palace fans and they don't speak that highly of him.

The point that I'm making is that if you hire a manager who has an average win ratio of 30% across the last decade, don't be surprised when he only wins 1 game out of 3.

Problem when you pick a guy like that week in week out though is you just end up playing hoof ball. Particularly when you have a set of central defenders that aren't particularly cultured and wing backs (on 1 side anyway) that don't cover the ground that well.
