Great post, Bluehoop. I'd wager there are few who despise him. Well, maybe Ricky..... But many who are fed up with him and have had enough of him.

Er. How come that manager has no problem having every other PROFESSIONAL at the club train and be as fit as the proverbial fiddle???

He hasnt got that problem with any other player at the club, what does that tell you?
Perhaps Redknapp has simply had enough, and who could blame him?

I think they're hanging onto the faint hope that one day he might recapture his Championship form for us, but they can't/don't want to see that he simply doesn't want to.
No one has doubted his talent. It's his effort/desire/commitment that is non existant, and seemingly to those sticking up for Adel, this automatically means we think he's sh1t.

AT is not some 10 year old kid whose Dad forces him to play mini soccer on a Sunday just so the old man can re-live his youth through his son. FFS, Adel has a god (sorry Allah) given talent, earns many bags a week and to him, this is his profession. The onus has to be on him to do what is necessary to allow him to ply his trade - to blame the manager (and all those before HR because he has never trained to peak condition in pre season) is honestly the poorest argument you could have brought up.

Ungrateful? No, thats complete tosh. I don't know a QPR fan who is ungrateful for what Taarabt did for us in our Championship winning season. Everyone expected him to make the step up to the premier league, but im afraid if you take your rose-tinted I-Love-Adel glasses off, you will see that in 2 premier league seasons, he turned out maybe a handful of good performances for us, and threw strops along the way.
Remember the bus incident? Has there been a pre season since he joined, except perhaps before out first PL season, where he hasnt wanted a move away from LR? No.
Should we be grateful to have a player blessed with an unbelievable talent, who simply doesnt want to use it at QPR? No.
                Spot on Ginge.

It is he who should be greatful for us providing him the opportunity to pull on the blue and white Hoops. I think some fans have forgotton who they support and are more attached to indivual players then their club. Players come and go QPR will Remain

Exactly mate, no one player is bigger than the club.

Great post, if any of us had shown the same unprofessional attitude Adel shows in our jobs, we'd have been fired a long time ago.

It's not sticking up for him as such, it's more a hope, perhaps a faint and deluded one, that he can perform for QPR again.

I love watching Adel play, more so than any other QPR player since Les. I cannot hate him for being a tw*t (which it seems likely that a combination of ego and bad advice means he is), he's built up too much goodwill with me for that.

I'd love to see him pull on what passes for a QPR shirt this season, but I don't think he will, Milan will up their bid a little and he'll go.

I'll miss him when he leaves, and will definitely be watching a few Italian matches this year to see how he gets on. People can can celebrate his leaving if you like, that's their prerogative.

I can't believe he's not trained, he's an embarrassment as a 'professional' footballer!..... but hey let's blame the manager, what ever we do we can't blame Adel!!

I've been trying to point out above that Harry is saying that Adel has been UNABLE to train until this week, not necessarily unwilling.

I'm not trying to defend Adel here, simply pointing out what Harry has actually said.

No mention of him being injured, Stan. Only not being fit and not having trained. I'm sure he's been running about. But, as any glance at any photograph of him proves, it seems he arrived back at pre season not fit to train to become fitter.

You can`t help but blame him when he comes out with comments like that!!
Would he let any other player get away with "not training, miles away from fitness, don`t know what`s happening with him" I doubt it...
Like previously said I think he`s being made a scapegoat.
Think Adel has had it made clear that he`s not wanted and maybe his attitude reflects that.
Some people on here actually wanted Grenero & Mbia to return this season, yet our best player THAT season is treated like an outcast.
I`m not sticking up for him as I said earlier if he don`t wanna be here he should go, but for me the acid test is how you would feel with them in another side playing
against QPR and for me i`d be gutted, only Remy, Austin, Phillips and maybe Ned would make me feel that way.

To give a direct answer to the subjects question: Hasn't the guy had enough chances!!?

Would I like to see a fully fit and committed Taarabt play for QPR this season? Of course. Do I hold a grudge therefore? No
