Prob is Geng its not him with the selective memory its you. I said few pages back that he had fluffed his lines on a number of occasions which would have seen him double his goal tally but you chose not to respond so off the top of my head:

Man city at home one on one and through on goal hit keeper when should have scored
Reading at home one on one with the keeper passes ball wide of the post when he should have scored
Stoke away through on goal only the keeper to beat and instead of putting his foot through it he tries the dink (or the entertaining effort as you would probably refer to it) and it goes over the bar. Great when it comes off but how often does it come off??
WBA Away dito Stoke effort but this time the dink was caught by the keep as it went head height when he should have drilled it
Norwich home in 6 pointer he missed a pen
Man Utd at home loses ball on edge of box throws hands in the air instead of trying to win ball back and da Silva pings it top corner
Wigan Home ducked in wall last minute and they scored; we were prob down anyway but that was a nail in the coffin

Now in all those games, other than Man Utd, we lost or dropped points by the odd goal where if he had been more ruthless we would have amassed more points as Reading was 1 - 1, WBA we lost 3 - 2 Stoke we lost 1- 0 Norwich we drew 0 -0 and Wigan we Drew 1 – 1. Take the chances and there were an extra 9points we missed out on and him a potential four more goals to his stats of five

Now I know the above is quite crude and the course of a game can change had he done his job better but what is does demonstrate is that when you and others keep saying he was our best player bla bla bla he also cost us no doubt just as many points as he got us and he was not as magnificent as some want to try and portray

So he won the MOM poll which is no great shakes in my book given how poor a team we were and the competition he faced; what would be more interesting is if the polls we were voting on had an option as 'no one being MOM' as if it had I suspect 'no MOM' would have come out as the top option in our relegation season well in advance of Adel or anyone else for that fact.

          Good post West!

There's an incident that you highlight that is one of the exact reasons he'd cost us points/game's.... against UTD when he looses the ball and in Adel fashion throws his hands in the air (probably blaming everybody) instead of trying his damn hardest to win back the ball. Instead it results in them scoring.

We just can't afford to have that type of player in our team especially in this league this season. IMO this league is going to be a lot tougher than back when we were last in the premiership.. reason is there are probably 10 clubs (including us) who could easily find themselves in a relegation battle. That's 18 game's (home and away) where we could be looking for wins, and every goal is vital. And I for 1 do not trust Adel to throw a wobbly and cost us a goal.
          SIR LESLIE FERDINAND!!

          • It wouldn't be so boring if the mor-onic ramblings from Geng and Hal9tho would stop. You two are just chatting garbage. Adel this Adel that blah blah blah!!! He had one decent season in the Championship what 4 seasons ago? You would rather watch him pass himself off as a legend because he can step over and kick the ball with the outside of his foot a couple of times a week then just stand back and wave his hands around because its easier than putting a shift in. West Acton just told it how it is but watch these two dumb clowns come back again with more drivel.
Geng, you are the Vivian Ward of WUM's and most probably bullied as a kid.
Ban me, I don't care, because it has to be more fun than reading any more of the absolute cow dung you type here pal

Yes he missed a few chances, but there is no chance in hell he cost us as many points as he won us. Think of the sitters that our strikers cost! He could have easily got another 5-10 assists if people had been on their game.

The other thing is Adel actually puts the work in to create things and take opportunities. You won't see SWP Hoillet Phillips etc. missing those chances because they're not creating them or giving others the chance to create them. Adel is the spark that gets the team going, and we've got no replacements in our side at the moment.

You can't talk about him costing us goals without recognising that he has been as still is the main producer of goals. If I give you ten quid every day and occasionally ask you for a fiver it doesn't change the fact that I've given more than I've taken.

But it's clear that a section of our fans will always refuse to acknowledge or be able to appreciate Adel's contribution due to the stories they've read in the paper and quotes from the world's most 'onest 'ard working manager 'Arry Redknapp.

I like how none acknowledge this post, says it all really. Gifted players in limited teams get stroppy when they're subbed.

Is that all you've got up there? No one at home?

Geng quoted stats. At the end of the day stats do give some kind of objective measure.

As for me, in equal measures of laughter and frustration AT has given me more entertainment than any other QPR player in recent years.

And Geng and myself are not alone - wasn't there a recent poll on this very subject? And what was the result?

                            • Taarabt, Italy remains there. Horizon. For now, still a bit 'far away. No meeting between Galliani and Kia, the prosecutor of the Moroccan. Appointment only postponed. Because the agent Taarabt will be in Italian only when Milan will be really convinced to close the transaction, especially with QPR. As per the agreement of the Moroccan talent does not seem to be too much trouble. When the Rossoneri will finally have an official offer advanced at QPR, Kia will fly to Italy to complete the whole. And define the future of Taarabt. Definitely.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Far from it Kevin. Still very uncertain:
