People criticise his attitude, yet they adore Barton. People criticise his fitness, yet we've got god knows how many sick nots on the payroll. Just give him some game time! If we sell him to Milan for pennies without a very good replacement I'll be pissed off.

Not sure how you can compare him to Barton. Barton says a lot of sometimes stupid things, but he has always trained and kept fit and doesn't sulk. Adel has had problems with every manager he has played under.

Barton crosses the line regularly, saying **** he shouldn't. Publicly said he had no intention of playing for us again. Yet people tolerate this because he wears his heart on his sleeve. I'm not anti-Barton btw, just find the hypocrisy annoying..

Adel was marginalised so we could play overpaid, overrated signings after our promotion. Got stripped of the captaincy so we could give it to Joey, which was a real disrespect tbh. People seem to have made up their minds re. him, but he's shown he can deliver even in our poor team...

Adel was only made captain to massage his FAT ego. There were many other players in that squad at that time far more worthy of captaincy.

No some of us just want one of the most blessed and skilful players we have ever seen to earn his corn and put in a shift outside of tricks and flicks; that includes turning up on time, training hard, respecting his team mates and management and when things are not going his way not sulking.

If he done that I reckon you would not hear one peep from the fans about him as even if the tricks and flicks were not coming off he would still be contributing. Currently all he offers is the chance of entertainment through his skills there is more often then not no end product to the tricks. If I want to be entertained with tricks I will go to a circus

Who would/could/should we buy to replace him?
For what it`s worth I don`t know where I stand on this one...
For a club like ours I think we need an Adel type in it, he`s shown he can win games, but also shown he can let the ball roll under his foot and go out for a throw in, time and time again.
IMO warnock managed him the right way by letting him know he was "the man" and also allowing him to have bad games (can`t be amazing all the time).
But if he don`t wanna play for us I guess we should sell up, but again who would replace him?

We are still very poor going forward and can not create. If Glenda arrives, I think we'll see more of Adel.

May even end up seeing less of Harry.....
