You buy a bunch of shares in Apple Computer for £100 each. There is a fair bit of risk in this investment - the company could go bust and you'd lose your investment. On the other hand, it could go up and you'd make a lot of money.
A year later the shares are trading for £200 each and you are pretty happy so you phone your advisor. "How about those Apple shares?"
Your advisor tells you he sold them yesterday for £110 each.
"You did what you stupid %#@!".
"Whoa there big fella, you bought them for £100 and sold them for £110. How have you not profited from the deal?"

I have been known to call myself Laura on the odd occasion, namely when adopting my alter ego for either a narcotics fuelled bondage session in my neighbours dungeon, or simply for webcam sessions with other likeminded souls. As far as I understood it, the £2m from Newcastle covered the wages we had to pay Remy while on loan. As for £500k...not much of a profit when realistically we could have got anywhere from £10-15m for him, maybe even more.Originally posted by Ginger Ninja View PostComment
