The midfield needs to start scoring goals more goals now.
Remember who was top scorer in our last promotion season
    He's in Milan.

We need the personnel to score goals, I can play for Qpr and u could say I would score 20 goals but the truth is I wouldn't.

We needed a proven goalscorer to replace Chas. we havent got one (yet)

This ponder quietly bit you mentioned mate......its hardly quietly when people regurgitate the same negative lines post after post....we heard it the first time, no need to keep repeating it ad nausem! Think Doyle is an astute signing, but with my open mind, the proof will be after he has played a few games. Might be good for us, might be rubbish......only time will tell.
But mate don't you see that you are just the opposite side of exactly the same coin. You just spout the empty, positive platitude ad nauseum! The management admitted we needed major strengthening in attack BEFORE we lost for the season the player who has scored well over half our goals. And objectively speaking so far we haven't brought in anyone who is remotely likely to make up for Austin, let alone go on to improve us further as it was agreed we needed. Yes it might all work out wonderfully, Clint Hill might score a hat-trick tomorrow, Doyle could turn out to be more prolific than Jordan Rhodes. Anything is indeed possible. I just wouldn't bet much money on it. Put it this way: if I was Burnley's manager, I would be scenting blood tonight.

I agree that we don't know until we see them play, let's just wait and see.
Some were already getting on his back and calling him the new Mike Sheron!

Fair point but what happens when the midfield carry on playin they way they have done? No getting into the box (they aint gonna change overnight). Austin has done so well for us coz he is one of the few who works his balls off chacing every loose ball and making things happen.. Doyle is not that type of player...if Charlie were fit i would like the signing of Doyle coz they could get a good partnership going, but he`s not an out and out goalscorer

Doyle is indeed very like Helguson but as others have pointed out that season we had the little matter of Adel Tarrabt. Niko is good, but he is no Adel...

I really dont want to be to despondent as Doyle aint a bad loan signing to bolster our squad BUT the fact still remains our goal machine is probably sidelined now for the best part of the season and he needs replacing Now if were to keep this momentum going,Doyle was/is a good addition to the squad but I cant see him getting 15+ I know we gotta give the bloke a chance but I cant help thinking he aint enough. Surely there must be more irons in the fire...

I don't think we could have done any better today than what we have.
Rhodes, Ings and McCormack won't go anywhere so who could we have got?
We still have the Loan Window once Prem Teams have named there squads again.

He is the one who should step forward now. In patches, he seems to be a superb player.
