Aren't we few QPR fans a modern day Sparta, we stand for decency, loyalty and integrity. We few aren't sheep that sell our soul for being in the in crowd or having a Torres blazened on our back.
Loftus Road may not sell quality organic burgers within 30 seconds of joining the queue or cold beer but it's our home where memories are past down generation by generation.
I occasionally run from and to work in my QPR training top and always get greeted by a U R'sss by a stranger. You see two blokes in Chelsea tops cross each other, not even an acknowledgement one of them may as well be wearing a Barca top.
It's this togetherness, the minority against the majority. we've all been teased at school by the hoardes of heathen Chelsea fans that what makes us who we are, wealth and success means nothing compared to be true to yourself and knowing where you have come from.
This is why i have bequeathed to my child that U are QPR.
Suspect they don't even contain meat of an identifiable nature...... I'd settle, in the Ellersile, for a proper toilet, to be honest.... Was Leonardis one of the well past it fellas brought in by the Orange one?

Ok Vespa, if it makes you happy and because we're all about peace at the moment I'll answer one of your great questions; how the f..k do I know what the word on the street (insert 'many' streets) is in a whole COUNTY? Ask me a sensible question but don't ask what R's think in Norwich because even though there are R's up here, bizarrely enough I don't know each and every one of them!

My point being ,your saying that my opinion is only shared by a tiny few, when I,m saying ,with you up in Norwich (and correct me if I'm wrong ,there's next to no R,s there ),and not attending matches, drinking in QPR pubs , how would you be in a position to know if only a tiny amount of Rangers fans are opposed to the move ?
And as I've previously stated I've never said I'm in the majority , just that many of us do feel like that. So get down off your high horse.

Not on any high horse or low horse; no horses here my friend. Tart it up how you want but we both know you think the majority of R's think the same way as you because you go to a pub and sit next to a couple at a game, so this obviously constitutes the majority. Anyway, not gonna agree and I'm bored.

Its easier for kids to grow an association with any team they like really as they can watch them "live" and read all about them online.

Sign of the times, most kids would rather stay indoors in front of their computers now!
textbook move thinking this is a bad thing and not a point to capitalize on. I am a classic example of the flip side to the sad 'sign of the times' you mention. I live in Brooklyn NY and have access to every single Premier League match live, and on select weekends the best Championship games are also broadcast live or with a few hours of delay (due to the early morning hour). With the R's seeing success early this season and us being 'favorites' and all, we are usually the ones being shown on BeINsport USA channel as the championship game of the week.
I also always wear my QPR shirts out, and while I get questions as to 'which team is that?', I always try to tell all in NYC about the glory that is QPR.
My point is that all this technology/coverage while it can be bad if we languish in lower championship (for example, no one I mean absolutely no one in America knows who Leeds are let alone that they are a massive club) or lower, it can be a good thing. I think there is no reason QPR can't be right in there.

I'm buzzing that I'll be going to my first game in 2 years on Weds v Brighton, and will be bringing 3-5 mates from work who live in London (though grew up all over England and Europe). They are in their mid-20s like I, so most have a team from home, but seeing as they will be living and working in London for their foreseeable futures, I know they secretly are looking for a reason to find a good quality club to support. They are saying they are coming with me to 'check it out' but I know they can fall in love with rangers like I did.

I hope your mates enjoy it, although the likelihood is they would prefer to watch a Premier League game in a nice stadium right? Which isn't a bad thing, LR is close to my heart but realistically I know a lot of people will think what a dump.

I have a Canadian friend, he lived in London for a year but now has gone home. He wanted to follow a club and he chose - Fulham! Reasons he chose them: London based, Premier League, cheapest season ticket. Now a lot of people would cite him as the sort of fan we should "avoid" - I'm not really sure why though. He bought a season ticket, bought the shirt, followed them away a few times and follows them even though he's back home. Fulham fan for life now but would never would be seen as "hardcore" or "loyal" to some on here!

My last point brings up a question I'd pose to you on this thread:

We are in the interesting position of having a club in London. With a majority of jobs that the folks in their 20s graduating with degrees in computers, fashion, science, etc are taking up here in London after their studies, these folks are probably a long way from their home club, especially if they are lower in the ladder (Shrewsbury, Coventry, Hull, Hartlepool).

Would you accept these fans if they truly loved QPR and came week in week out, but QPR was their 'home club' / 'London club', where as Hartlepool for example is their hometown club/boyhood club???

                      Thoughts?

                        Few fair points.
I wouldn't be so sure of the 'prefer to watch Prem team' thought, mate. With all the hipster/indie crowd coming up these days, there are a fair few (if not outright majority) of folks in that Gen Y range who hate the gloryhunters, just like some of the previous posters in this thread. In fact, a lot of my british mates tell me all the time: "I have no affliation with qpr but the fact that youre a Y a n k and have chose not to support 'the big 4' and chose good ol qpr is a top choice mate."
My response always to them coincidentally addresses your 2nd point, which is that I fell in love with how superb LR is! For me, way better than Emirates or the Bridge.

We will become like Fulham if we are not careful. Trying to fill an over large stadium with tourists and neutrals like those ******s do at the cottage. Sad state of affairs.
